Hello everyone! I've been able to purchase a few cards from the Rebellion expansion in the past, and I'm increasingly owning more cards from this set. Nevertheless, I was active on the marketplace again and was able to purchase four new Rebellion cards and add them to my collection. Why am I currently so keen on buying Rebellion cards? Because the cards from the set were printed in relatively small numbers, and I consider them to be powerful and especially useful as a Modern player.

I'd like to tell you about my four new purchases today and also introduce you to the individual cards. As always, it's important to note that I'm playing the cards up to the Silver League level cap, as I can't play a higher level due to my Archons. Enjoy! 😊

Silverblade Fighter

The first card I bought is Silverblade Fighter. It's a rare card from the Life Splinter, costs six mana, and is a melee attacker. The card's defining characteristics are its Flank ability, but also the combination of its high armor value and the Void Armor ability, which is added at level two. This makes Silverblade Fighter a card that feels particularly comfortable in the first position as a tank and can perform there in a wide variety of matchups.

When you level the card, it gains the Void Armor ability (level 2) and the Protect ability (level 6), as mentioned above. The card also gains a few additional stats.

I've already been able to test the card extensively at level two and decided to upgrade it to level 3, as it adds an important melee attack stat. Upgrading to level four doesn't seem to make much sense at the moment, as it only adds one more armor point.

So, I needed nine copies for the upgrade, which cost me $4.28. Not exactly cheap, but not overly expensive either.

Chaos Rear Guard

The second card I bought and would like to introduce to you is Chaos Rear Guard. It's a common Water Splinter card, costs four mana, and is a rather defensive melee attacker. It's defensive because the card only has a single melee attack, but it has very good armor and health combined with the Shield ability. As the name suggests, the card is excellent at the back against Sneak attackers. However, it can also be strong in some matchups in other positions.

When Chaos Rear Guard is leveled up, it only gains stats, almost exclusively health and armor. But it gains a lot of them.

My goal was to own the card at level 5. This was because I don't think it is particularly expensive, and the additional stats were worth the price. It was just right that a Gold Foil version at level 5 was available on the market for a good price. Furthermore, the Gold Foil card wasn't really more expensive than a regular foil, and the small premium was worth it to me.

I was able to purchase this Gold Foil card for $6.05. I actually don't think it's that expensive, and I'm a bit of a fan of Gold Foil cards anyway.

Mad Ogre Anarchist

The next card I'll introduce is another rare card and belongs to the neutral Splinter. It's Mad Ogre Anarchist. It's a melee attacker with the Opportunity ability, which costs six mana, making it moderately expensive to play. There's not much more to say about this card. I think it's interesting because it belongs to the neutral Splinter and is relatively solid.

The upgrades give the card all its stats except for armor, which remains the same. The card also gains an ability, Immunity (level 7), which is very powerful in some matchups.

I decided to buy enough copies of Mad Ogre Anarchist to upgrade and play it to level 4. At this point, the card gains another health point, which I consider quite important.

I bought a total of 24 copies of the card, as I already owned a single copy. It cost me a total of $3.29.

Karst Harpy

The last card I bought is an epic card, Karst Harpy. It belongs to the Life Splinter, is a ranged attacker, and costs only three mana. The reason I bought the card is its stats, which aren't bad, but especially its Flying ability. In my opinion, there's very little of that in the current meta.

The upgrades mainly add ranged attack, but also some speed and health. The card also gains the Scattershot ability (level 2), which I don't think is useful in most matchups.

That's why I only bought one copy of the card and therefore only play it at the first level. The Scattershot ability isn't an improvement for me, but rather a deterioration. The few stats that Karst Harpy would gain from the upgrades don't help me much either.

Another reason to buy the card is the relatively low price. One copy only cost me $0.59.

Last Words

I warmly welcome the four new cards to my team! My collection of Rebellion cards is slowly filling up, and I'll soon be able to start buying the new Conclave Arcana cards. Nevertheless, this will almost certainly not be the last blog in which I show you my new Rebellion card purchases. There are still a few good cards that I'm missing.

Hallo zusammen! Ich habe zwar in der Vergangenheit bereits einige Karten aus der Rebellion Erweiterung kaufen können und ich besitze auch immer mehr Karten aus diesem Set. Trotzdem war ich erneut auf dem Marktplatz aktiv und habe vier neue Rebellion Karten kaufen und meiner Sammlung hinzufügen können. Warum ich aktuell so gerne Rebellion Karten kaufe? Weil die Karten aus dem Set in einer relativ geringen Stückzahl gedruckt wurden und ich sie für spielstark halte und sie insbesondere als Modern Spieler benötige.

Ich möchte euch heute über meine vier Neukäufe berichten und dabei euch die einzelnen Karten auch etwas vorstellen. Wichtig zu erwähnen ist wie immer, dass ich die Karten maximal auf dem Silver League Level Cap spiele, da ich ein höheres Level aufgrund meiner Archons nicht spielen kann. Viel Spaß beim Lesen! 😊

Silverblade Fighter

Die erste Karte, die ich gekauft habe, ist Silverblade Fighter. Es ist eine seltene Karte aus dem Life Splinter, kostet sechs Mana und ist ein Melee Attacker. Charakteristisch für die Karte ist zum einen die Ability Flank, aber auch die Kombination aus dem hohen Rüstungswert und der Ability Void Armor, welche auf dem zweiten Level dazukommt. Das macht Silverblade Fighter zu einer Karte, welche sich besonders auf der ersten Position als Tank wohlfühlt und dort in den verschiedensten Matchups performen kann.

Levelt man die Karte, erhält sie wie zuvor erwähnt die Ability Void Armor (Level 2) und die Ability Protect (Level 6). Außerdem erhält die Karte noch einige wenige Stats dazu.

Ich hab die Karte bereits ausgiebig auf dem zweiten Level testen können und habe mich dazu entschieden sie auf Level 3 zu verbessern, da dort ein wichtiger Melee Attack Stat dazukommt. Ein Upgrade auf das vierte Level scheint aktuell nicht so sinnvoll, da hier nur ein weiterer Rüstungspunkt dazukommt.

Für das Upgrade habe ich also neun Exemplare benötigt, welche mich 4,28$ gekosten haben. Nicht ganz billig, aber auch nicht übermäßig teuer.

Chaos Rear Guard

Die zweite Karte, die ich gekauft habe und euch vorstellen möchte, ist Chaos Rear Guard. Es ist eine gewöhnliche Karte aus dem Water Splinter, kostet vier Mana und ist ein eher defensiver Melee Attacker. Defensiv deshalb, weil die Karte lediglich einen einzelnen Melee Attack, dafür aber sehr gute Rüstungswerte und Lebenspunkte in Kombination mit der Ability Shield besitzt. Wie der Name schon zeigt, kann die Karte exzellent auf der letzten Postion gegen Sneak Attacker eingesetzt werden. Sie kann aber auch in dem ein oder anderen Matchup in anderen Positionen stark sein.

Wird Chaos Rear Guard gelevelt, erhält er lediglich Stats, wobei es sich fast ausschließlich um Lebenspunkte und Rüstung handelt. Dafür davon aber sehr viel.

Mein Ziel war es die Karte auf dem fünften Level zu besitzen. Dies lag daran, dass ich sie nicht besonders teuer finde und mir die zusätzlichen Stats der Preis wert waren. Da kam es gerade richtig, dass ein Gold Foil Exemplar auf Level 5 für einen guten Preis auf dem Markt verfügbar war. Außerdem war die Gold Foil Karte nicht wirklich teurer als eine Regular Foil und mir war es der kleine Aufpreis wert.

Für einen Preis von 6,05$ konnte ich nämlich diese Gold Foil Karte erwerben. Ich finde das tatsächlich nicht wirklich teuer und bin sowieso ein kleiner Fan von Gold Foil Karten.

Mad Ogre Anarchist

Die nächste Karte, die ich vorstelle, ist eine weitere seltene Karte und gehört zum neutralen Splinter. Es handelt sich hierbei um Mad Ogre Anarchist. Es ist ein Melee Attacker mit der Ability Opportunity, welcher sechs Mana kostet und damit mittelteuer zu spielen ist. Viel mehr gibt es über die Karte nicht zu berichten. Ich halte sie für interessant, da sie zum neutralen Splinter gehört und relativ solide ist.

Durch die Upgrades erhält die Karte, was die Stats betrifft, alle Stats bis auf Rüstung, welche gleich bleibt. Außerdem erhält die Karte auch noch eine Ability und zwar Immunity (Level 7), welche in einigen Matchups sehr stark ist.

Ich habe mich dazu entschieden so viele Exemplare von Mad Ogre Anarchist zu kaufen, dass ich ihn auf Level 4 verbessern und spielen kann. Dort bekommt die Karte nochmal einen Lebenspunkt dazu, den ich für ziemlich wichtig erachte.

Insgesamt habe ich 24 Exemplare der Karte gekauft, da ich ein einzelnes Exemplar bereits besaß. Das hat mich insgesamt 3,29$ gekostet.

Karst Harpy

Bei der letzten Karte, die ich gekauft habe, handelt es sich um eine epische Karte und zwar Karst Harpy. Sie gehört zum Life Splinter, ist ein Ranged Attacker und kostet nur drei Mana. Der Grund, warum ich die Karte gekauft habe, sind die Stats, welche nicht schlecht sind, aber vor allem die Ability Flying. Hiervon gibt es in der aktuellen Meta nämlich recht wenig meiner Meinung nach.

Durch die Upgrades kommen hauptsächlich Ranged Attack, aber auch ein paar Geschwindigkeits- und Lebenspunkte dazu. Zudem erhält die Karte die Ability Scattershot (Level 2), welche ich in den meisten Matchups aber für nicht hilfreich halte.

Das ist der Grund warum ich lediglich ein Exemplar der Karte gekauft habe und sie somit lediglich auf dem ersten Level spiele. Die Ability Scattershot ist für mich einfach keine Verbesserung sondern eher eine Verschlechterung. Da helfen mir die paar Stats, die Karst Harpy durch die Upgrades erhalten würde, auch nicht besonders weiter.

Ein anderer Grund die Karte zu kaufen ist der relativ geringe Preis. Denn mich hat ein Exemplar lediglich 0,59$ gekostet.

Letzte Worte

Ich heiße die vier neuen Karten herzlich Willkommen in meinem Team! So langsam füllt sich meine Sammlung mit Rebellion Karten und ich kann bald dazu übergehen mir die neuen Conclave Arcana Karten zu kaufen.
