Since only Rebellion and Conclave Arcana are playable in the Modern Ranked format, I realize that I don't have as many cards available as I used to. This is because Chaos Legion was playable in this format for a very long time and players owned a lot of Chaos Legion cards because of this, and of course because of the low prices. That was also the case for me.

That's why I hit the market again and bought some Rebellion cards to stay competitive in Modern. I could of course also buy Conclava Arcana cards directly, and I will do that in the future, but Rebellion still has some good cards that I'm missing. I would like to show you my purchases in today's blog and briefly introduce you to the cards. As always, please remember that I upgrade my cards to the Silver League level cap at most. Skyspire Yak

The first card I bought and want to introduce to you is Skyspire Yak. It's a common card from Life Splinter, costs four mana and is therefore relatively cheap to play. Characteristic for the card is the ability Armored Strike, which allows you to attack with your armor points. However, since the card itself doesn't offer too much armor, it has to be combined with other cards, of which there are some good options in the current Life Splinter.

If you level Skyspire Yak, the card mainly gains health points and speed points. In addition, the ability Heal (level 9) is added later on, which can be very helpful in combination with the high health points.

I immediately decided to buy enough copies so that I could improve Skyspire Yak to my personal maximum level 5, as I've played the card quite often so far and it wasn't really expensive.

The 59 copies of the card cost me a total of 3.34$. I already owned one copy before that, so I don't need to buy any more copies of it.

Nimbledook Scout

The next card I was able to buy is Nimbledook Scout, one of the common cards from the Rebellion expansion with no attack. What I like about the card is the relatively high speed and life total and the low mana cost of two. Right from the start, Nimbledook Scout has the ability Backfire, which can be very powerful in combination with the high speed value.

By upgrading the card, the Inspire (level 5) and Blast (level 10) abilities are added alongside additional speed and health points. I particularly like the Inspire ability, as there are some strong melee attackers available in Fire Splinter. Of course, Nimbledook Scout can only benefit from the Blast ability if a monster with the Weapons Training ability is placed next to it.

Since I really like the ability Inspire in combination with the Fire Splinter, as already described, I decided to upgrade Nimbledook Scout to level 5. I also got the card as a Gold Foil, as the price wasn't really more expensive than the Regular Foils.

The 5 Gold Foils only cost me $10.87 in total. The purchase was made a few weeks ago, but I didn't want to withhold it from you. Incidentally, the card is currently more expensive, so the purchase has been worthwhile for me so far.

Grimbardun Fighter

The third card I have new in my collection belongs to the neutral Splinter and is Grimbardun Fighter. This is also a common card, but it is very expensive to play. Since it is a melee attacker itself and has the ability Shield, it is definitely meant to be used in matchups with a lot of melee attackers. The stats of Grimbardun Fighter aren't great, but I don't play it that rarely. That's because the card can be good in certain matchups and it's almost always possible to play it.

The upgrades give the card all stats equally, so melee attack, speed, armor and health. In addition, Grimbardun Fighter gains the abilities Corrosive Ward (level 3) and Deflect (level 6).

I only bought enough copies of Grimbardun Fighter to upgrade the card to level 3. Here, as just described, it receives the Corrosive Ward ability. An upgrade to level 5 is not worthwhile in my opinion, because no further ability is added and the improvements to the stats are not special.

I was still missing 12 copies of the card to upgrade it to level 3, and they only cost me 2.38$.

Warborn Shaman

The last card I bought is the first rare promo card today and it's Warborn Shaman. It belongs to the Water and Death Splinter, has a high magic attack, but also a rather high mana cost. In addition, the card has rather average life points, but some armor points. It fits perfectly that Warborn Shaman has the ability Void Armor from the first level, which makes it a bit more useful on defense.

The upgrades add a lot of abilites, namely Impede (level 2), Ambush (level 4), Poison (level 6) and Heal (level 8). The card receives rather few stats in the course of the game, only a speed point and a few health points are added.

For the time being, I have decided to buy only one copy of the card and only play it at the first level. That way I can test out the card first, but still get a bonus on my rewards as it's a promo card. Nevertheless, it is conceivable that I will improve the card in the future.

The one copy of Warborn Shaman cost me 2.10$, which in my opinion is not cheap for just one card.

Last Words

I would like to welcome the four new cards to my team! I'm looking forward to seeing how they perform in future battles. In the near future I will buy some more Rebellion cards, as I have some budget left and, as mentioned at the beginning, I am still missing some good Rebellion cards.

Seitdem nur noch Rebellion und Conclave Arcana im Modern Ranked Format spielbar sind, merke ich, dass ich nicht mehr so viele Karten wie sonst zur Verfügung habe. Das liegt daran, dass Chaos Legion sehr lange in diesem Format spielbar war und die Spieler deswegen, und natürlich wegen den niedrigen Preisen, sehr viele Chaos Legion Karten besaßen. Das war bei mir ebenfalls der Fall.

Deshalb habe ich mal wieder auf dem Markt zugeschlagen und mir einige Rebellion Karten gekauft, um in Modern weiterhin konkurrenzfähig zu bleiben. Ich könnte natürlich auch direkt Conclava Arcana Karte kaufen, und das werde ich in der Zukunft auch tun, allerdings hat Rebellion noch einige gute Karten zu bieten, die mir fehlen. Ich möchte euch im heutigen Blog meine Käufe zeigen und euch die Karten kurz vorstellen. Denkt bitte dabei wie immer daran, dass ich meine Karten maximal zum Silver League Level Cap verbessere. Skyspire Yak

Die erste Karte, die ich gekauft habe und euch vorstellen möchte, ist Skyspire Yak. Es ist eine gewöhnliche Karte aus dem Life Splinter, kostet vier Mana und ist damit relativ billig zu spielen. Charakteristisch für die Karte ist die Ability Armored Strike, wodurch ein Angriff mit den Rüstungspunkten möglich ist. Da die Karte aber selbst nicht all zu viel Rüstung bietet, muss sie mit anderen Karten kombiniert werden, wovon es einige gute Möglichkeiten im aktuellen Life Splinter gibt.

Levelt man Skyspire Yak, erhält die Karte hauptsächlich Lebenspunkte und Geschwindigkeitspunkte. Außerdem kommt im späteren Verlauf noch die Ability Heal (Level 9) dazu, was in Kombination mit den hohen Lebenspunkten sehr hilfreich sein kann.

Ich habe direkt entschieden so viele Exemplare zu kaufen, dass ich Skyspire Yak auf mein persönliches Maximallevel 5 verbessern kann, da ich die Karte bisher recht häufig gespielt habe und sie nicht wirklich teuer war.

Denn die 59 Exemplare der Karte haben mich insgesamt 3,34$ gekostet. Ein Exemplar besaß ich bereits davor und damit muss ich keine weiteren Exemplare hiervon kaufen.

Nimbledook Scout

Die nächste Karte, die ich kaufen konnte ist Nimbledook Scout, eine der gewöhnlichen Karten aus der Rebellion Erweiterung ohne Angriff. Was mir an der Karte gefällt, ist der relativ hohe Geschwindigkeit- und Lebenswert und die niedrigen Manakosten von zwei. Von Beginn an besitzt Nimbledook Scout die Ability Backfire, was in Kombination mit dem hohen Geschwindigkeitswert sehr stark sein kann.

Durch das Verbessern der Karte kommen neben weiteren Geschwindigkeits- und Lebenspunkten die Ability Inspire (Level 5) und die Ability Blast (Level 10) dazu. Vor allem die Ability Inspire gefällt mir sehr gut, da im Fire Splinter einige starke Melee Attacker verfügbar sind. Von der Ability Blast kann Nimbledook Scout natürlich nur profitieren, wenn daneben ein Monster mit der Ability Weapons Training platziert wird.

Da ich, wie bereits beschrieben, die Ability Inspire in Verbindung mit dem Fire Splinter sehr mag, habe ich mich dazu entschieden Nimbledook Scout auf Level 5 zu verbessern. Außerdem habe ich mir die Karte als Gold Foil geholt, da der Preis im Vergleich zu den Regular Foils nicht wirklich teurer war.

Denn mich haben die 5 Gold Foils insgesamt lediglich 10,87$ gekostet. Der Kauf ist zwar schon ein paar Wochen her, allerdings wollte ich ihn euch nicht vorenthalten. Aktuell ist die Karte übrigens teurer, der Kauf hat sich für mich also bisher gelohnt.

Grimbardun Fighter

Die dritte Karte, die ich neu in meiner Sammlung habe, gehört zum neutralen Splinter und ist Grimbardun Fighter. Es handelt sich hierbei ebenfalls um eine gewöhnliche Karte, welche allerdings sehr teuer zu spielen ist. Da es selbst ein Melee Attacker ist und die Ability Shield besitzt ist sie definitiv dafür gedacht in Matchups mit vielen Melee Attackern zum Einsatz zu kommen. Die Stats von Grimbardun Fighter sind nicht besonders, allerdings spiele ich sie gar nicht so selten. Das liegt daran, dass die Karte in bestimmten Matchups gut sein kann und es fast immer möglich ist sie zu spielen.

Durch die Upgrades erhält die Karte alle Stats gleichermaßen dazu, also Melee Attack, Geschwindigkeit, Rüstung und Lebenspunkte. Zudem erhält Grimbardun Fighter noch die Abilities Corrosive Ward (Level 3) und Deflect (Level 6).

Ich habe lediglich so viele Exemplare von Grimbardun Fighter gekauft, dass die Karte auf Level 3 verbessert werden konnte. Hier erhält sie, wie gerade beschrieben, die Ability Corrosive Ward. Ein Upgrade auf Level 5 lohnt sich meiner Meinung nach nicht, weil keine weitere Ability dazukommt und die Verbesserungen der Stats nicht besonders sind.

Mir haben noch 12 Exemplare der Karte gefehlt, um sie auf Level 3 zu verbessern, und diese haben mich lediglich 2,38$ gekostet.

Warborn Shaman

Bei der letzten Karte, die ich gekauft habe, handelt es sich um die erste seltene Promokarte heute und es ist Warborn Shaman. Sie gehört dem Water und Death Splinter an, hat einen hohen Magic Attack, dafür aber auch ziemlich hohe Manakosten. Außerdem besitzt die Karte eher mittelmäßige Lebenspunkte, dafür aber einige Rüstungspunkte. Da passt es super dazu, dass Warborn Shaman vom ersten Level an die Ability Void Armor besitzt, was sie in der Defensive etwas brauchbarer macht.

Durch die Upgrades kommen sehr viele Abilites dazu, und zwar Impede (Level 2), Ambush (Level 4), Poison (Level 6) und Heal (Level 8). Stats erhält die Karte dafür im Laufe eher wenig, lediglich ein Speedpoint und ein paar Lebenspunkte kommen dazu.

Ich habe mich vorerst dazu entschieden erstmal nur ein Exemplar der Karte zu kaufen und sie dementsprechend nur auf dem ersten Level zu spielen. So kann ich die Karte erstmal austesten, bekomme aber trotzdem einen Bonus auf meine Rewards, da sie eine Promokarte ist. Nichts desto trotz ist es denkbar, dass ich die Karte in Zukunft noch verbessern werde.

Das eine Exemplar von Warborn Shaman hat mich 2,10$ gekostet, was meiner Meinung nach nicht wenig ist für lediglich eine Karte.
