Hello Splinterlandians! I'm not very active on Hive or Splinterlands at the moment. I go through phases like this from time to time, and there's no specific reason for it. So far, I've always found the time and motivation to get back into it after these phases. Nevertheless, I recently bought some new Splinterlands cards to keep my deck competitive. This time, the cards are from the latest expansion, Conclave Arcana, which I think is very strong.

In today's blog, I would like to report on my purchases and briefly introduce the four cards to you. I will discuss the cards themselves, the reason for the purchase, and the price at which I was able to acquire the cards. Please keep in mind that I upgrade the cards to the Silver League level cap at most, as my Archons cannot play at a higher level. Enjoy reading! 😊

Vicious Giraffe

The first card I bought was Vicious Giraffe. It's a common card from the Fire Splinter, costs five mana, and is a melee attacker, which is ideally played in the second position to attack from there thanks to its Reach ability. The stats aren't really anything special except for the speed value, but the card only becomes interesting with a few upgrades.

When the card is leveled up, several abilities are added. The most interesting of these is Painforge (Level 3), which was introduced with Conclave Arcana and is very powerful. In addition, Shatter (Level 5) and Shield Ward (Level 10) are added. The stats are also improved, of course, especially the health points.

As already mentioned, the card only becomes playable once it has been leveled up. The Painforge ability in particular improves the card. I therefore decided to buy enough copies to upgrade it to level five, as I consider it to be very powerful.

Although the card is one of the more expensive common cards from Conclave Arcana, I only paid $4.54 in total, which I consider a fair price.

Decrepit Windseer

The second card I bought and would like to introduce to you is Decrepit Windseer, which, to my knowledge, is my first legendary card from this expansion. It is a ranged attacker from the Earth Splinter that costs four mana. The card's stats are rather secondary, as it has the new ability Bloodline Tribute. This means that as soon as the card is eliminated, all other elves on your side receive a small stat buff.

When Decrepit Windseer is leveled up, the card gains the following abilities: Thorns (Level 2), Reveal & Close Range (Level 3), and Echo (Level 4). It is greatly improved at Level 4 in particular, but for me, it is neither affordable nor playable.

Since I already own several elves and am currently expanding Earth Splinter significantly, this card was a must-have for me. I'm only playing it at the first level for now, so I only bought one copy. At the moment, I'm not sure whether upgrading to the second level would be very helpful.

The legendary cards are naturally a bit more expensive, but I was very happy with the price of $4.65.

Boring Hobgoblin

The next card I'm going to introduce is a common card and belongs to the neutral Splinter. It's called Boring Hobgoblin. It's a melee attacker that can be played for five mana. From the first level onwards, the card only has the Sneak ability, which doesn't make it particularly special. However, it's only when upgraded that it becomes interesting.

By leveling up, the card gains the useful abilities Reveal (level 2) and Silence (level 5). This allows Boring Hobgoblin to be used as a kind of supporter, as its stats are only significantly improved with later upgrades.

I decided to buy enough copies of the card to upgrade it to level five. As I mentioned earlier, I will probably use the card more as a supporter, mainly to counter enemy Magic Attackers, which I consider to be very strong in the current meta.

The card was also quite cheap, which convinced me to buy it. I paid only $2.58 for the 60 copies.

Silverleaf Ranger

The last card I bought is a rare card called Silverleaf Ranger. It belongs to the Life Splinter, is a ranged attacker, and costs six mana. This card has strong offensive potential and can even attack twice thanks to Double Strike. However, there is a small catch, namely the Weary ability.

The upgrades add all kinds of stats. The card also gains the abilities Heal (level 4) and Echo (level 8), but I don't consider either of these to be particularly useful on this card.

For my personal situation, it's most worthwhile to upgrade the card to the second level. This adds another ranged attack point, which I consider very valuable. I would also have the option of upgrading the card to the fourth level, but in my opinion, that's not particularly worthwhile.

Silverleaf Ranger is a very popular card, which means it is not cheap. Nevertheless, I treated myself to a Gold Foil card, which was already at the second level. That cost me $2.47.

Last Words

As always, I warmly welcome the four new cards to my team! Attentive readers may have noticed that the cards are relatively expensive compared to current prices. That's because I made the purchases before the recent price drop. Of course, that's annoying, but it now gives me the opportunity to buy new cards cheaply. And who knows, maybe the prices of the cards I bought will rise in the future.

Hallo Splinterlandians! Aktuell bin ich nicht all zu aktiv auf Hive bzw. bei Splinterlands. Solche Phasen habe ich immer mal wieder und haben keinen konkreten Grund. Bisher habe ich die Zeit und Motivation nach solchen Phasen immer wieder gefunden. Trotzdem habe ich zuletzt wieder einige neue Splinterlands Karten gekauft, sodass mein Deck weiterhin konkurrenzfähig bleibt. Dieses Mal stammen die Karten aus der neuesten Erweiterung Conclave Arcana, welche ich sehr stark finde.

Im Rahmen des heutigen Blogs möchte ich daher mal wieder über meine Käufe berichten und euch die vier Karten kurz vorstellen. Dabei werde ich auf die Karten an sich eingehen, den Kaufgrund und den Preis, zu dem ich die Karten erwerben konnte. Vergesst bitte nicht, dass ich die Karten maximal auf das Silver League Level Cap upgrade, da meine Archons kein höheres Level spielen können. Viel Spaß beim Lesen! 😊

Vicious Giraffe

Die erste Karte, die ich gekauft habe, ist Vicious Giraffe. Es ist eine gewöhnliche Karte aus dem Fire Splinter, kostet fünf Mana und ist ein Melee Attacker, welcher durch die Ability Reach idealerweise an der zweiten Position gespielt wird um von dort anzugreifen. Die Stats sind bis auf den Geschwindigkeitswert nicht wirklich besonders, aber interessant wird die Karte erst mit einigen Upgrades.

Denn wenn die Karte gelevelt wird kommen einige Abilities dazu. Die interessanteste hierbei ist Painforge (Level 3), welche mit Conclave Arcana eingeführt wurde und sehr stark ist. Außerdem kommen noch Shatter (Level 5) und Shield Ward (Level 10) dazu. Auch die Stats werden natürlich verbessert, insbesondere die Lebenspunkte.

Wie bereits erwähnt wird die Karte erst gut spielbar, wenn sie gelevelt wird. Insbesondere die Ability Painforge verbessert die Karte. Ich habe mich daher sogar dazu entschieden so viele Exemplare zu kaufen, dass ich sie auf das fünfte Level upgrade kann, da ich sie hier für sehr stark halte.

Obwohl die Karte eine der teureren gewöhnlichen Karten aus Conclave Arcana ist, habe ich insgesamt nur 4,54$ gezahlt, was ich für einen fairen Preis halte.

Decrepit Windseer

Die zweite Karte, die ich gekauft habe und euch vorstellen möchte, ist Decrepit Windseer und das ist meines Wissens nach meine erste legendäre Karte aus dieser Erweiterung. Es handelt sich hierbei um einen Ranged Attacker aus dem Earth Splinter, welcher vier Mana kostet. Die Stats der Karte sind eher zweitrangig, da sie die neue Ability Bloodline Tribute besitzt. Heißt sobald die Karte eliminiert wird, erhalten alle anderen eigenen Elfen einen kleinen Buff der Stats.

Wird Decrepit Windseer gelevelt erhält die Karte die folgenden Abilities: Thorns (Level 2), Reveal & Close Range (Level 3) und Echo (Level 4). Vor allem auf dem vierten Level wird sie nochmal stark verbessert, für mich ist das aber weder finanzierbar noch spielbar.

Da ich schon einige Elfen besitze und das Earth Splinter aktuell stark ausbaue war die Karte ein Muss für mich. Ich spiele sie zunächst nur auf dem ersten Level und habe daher auch nur ein Exemplar gekauft. Aktuell bin ich mir unsicher, ob mir ein Upgrade auf das zweite Level viel helfen würde.

Die legendären Karten sind natürlich etwas teurerer, allerdings war ich mit dem Preis von 4,65$ sehr zufrieden.

Boring Hobgoblin

Die nächste Karte, die ich vorstelle, ist eine gewöhnliche Karte und gehört zum neutralen Splinter. Es handelt sich hierbei um Boring Hobgoblin. Es ist ein Melee Attacker, der für fünf Mana spielbar ist. Vom ersten Level an besitzt die Karte lediglich die Ability Sneak, was sie noch nicht wirklich besonders macht. Jedoch ist es auch hier so, dass sie erst durch die Upgrade interessant wird.

Durch das Aufleveln erhält die Karte nämlich die nützlichen Abilities Reveal (Level 2) und Silence (Level 5). Dadurch kann Boring Hobgoblin als eine Art Supporter eingesetzt werden, denn die Stats werden erst mit den späteren Upgrades signifikant verbessert.

Ich habe mich dazu entschieden direkt so viele Exemplare der Karte zu kaufen, dass ich sie auf das fünfte Level verbessern kann. Wie bereits beschrieben, werde ich die Karte vermutlich eher als Supporter einsetzen, vor allem um gegnerische Magic Attacker zu kontern, die ich in der aktuellen Meta für sehr stark halte.

Die Karte war auch ziemlich billig, was mich von einem Kauf vollends überzeugt hat. Ich habe für die 60 Exemplare lediglich 2,58$ gezahlt.

Silverleaf Ranger

Bei der letzten Karte, die ich gekauft habe, handelt es sich um eine seltene Karte und zwar Silverleaf Ranger. Sie gehört zum Life Splinter, ist ein Ranged Attacker und kostet sechs Mana. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Karte mit starken Offensivpotential, welche durch Double Strike sogar zweimal angreifen kann. Allerdings gibt es einen kleinen Haken, nämlich die Ability Weary.

Durch die Upgrades kommen alle möglichen Stats dazu. Zudem erhält die Karte die Abilities Heal (Level 4) und Echo (Level 8), welche ich allerdings beide für nicht besonders brauchbar auf der Karte halte.

Für meine persönliche Situation lohnt es sich am meisten die Karte auf das zweite Level upzugraden. Hier kommt ein weiterer Ranged Angriffspunkt dazu, welchen ich für sehr wertvoll halte. Ich hätte die Möglichkeit die Karte auch auf das vierte Level zu verbessern, allerdings lohnt sich das meiner Meinung nach nicht besonders.

Silverleaf Ranger ist eine sehr beliebte Karte, wodurch sie nicht billig ist. Trotzdem habe ich mir eine Gold Foil Karte gegönnt, die dann auch gleich auf dem zweiten Level war. Das hat mich 2,47$ gekostet.

Letzte Worte

Wie immer heiße ich die vier neuen Karten herzlich Willkommen in meinem Team! Aufmerksame Leser werden vielleicht bemerkt haben, dass die Karten doch relativ teuer im Vergleich zu den aktuellen Preisen sind. Das liegt daran, dass ich die Käufe bereits vor dem jüngsten Preisverfall getätigt habe. Das ist natürlich ärgerlich, allerdings gibt es mir jetzt die Möglichkeit neue Karten billig zu kaufen. Und wer weiß, vielleicht steigen die Preise der gekauften Karten in der Zukunft noch.
