Splinterlands Art Contest 367 - Continuum Seer Fan Art Drawing [ENG-ESP]

Hello dear friends, I hope you are all doing well. Greetings to all the artists and aliens in this wonderful community. For this week's Splinterlands 367 contest, I've decided to participate with a fan art piece. I've chosen the Continuum Seer card. I really liked its design. As soon as I saw it, it reminded me a lot of Black Canary from the Justice League, one of my favorite female characters. So, I created this fan art using a mix of crayons and markers. It's a pleasure for me to be able to show you how I did it step by step. I hope you like it.

Hola queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, saludo a todos los artistas y aliens de esta maravillosa comunidad. Para esta semana, en el concurso 367 de Splinterlands he decidido participar con un fan art, para eso he escogido la carta Continuum Seer, me gustó mucho su diseño, apenas la vi me recordó mucho a Black Canary de la Liga de la Justicia, uno de mis personajes femeninos favoritos. Así que he realizado este fan art en una mezcla de lápices de colores de cera y también marcador, para mi es un placer poder mostrarles paso a paso como lo hice, espero que les guste.

PROCESS

On a sheet of cardstock, I began by sketching with simple, easy lines and then erasing. I only made the outline, allowing me to add colors little by little, layer by layer. I began by drawing the head and, from there, the rest of the body. Finally, I drew the hourglass floating above her hand.

En una hoja de cartulina comencé a hacer un boceto con líneas sencillas y fáciles para luego borrar. solamente hice la silueta que permitiera después ir agregando los colores poco a poco y capa por capa. Fui haciendo la cabeza y desde ahí el resto del cuerpo, de último dibujé el reloj de arena que está flotando sobre su mano.

Once I finished drawing the sketch I began to add color to the drawing with colored pencils, for the skin I used a light pastel color similar to peach, mixed with pink and a little purple in the darker parts that border the face.

Una vez que he terminado de dibujar el boceto comencé a agregar color al dibujo con los lápices de colores, para la piel utilicé un color pastel claro similar al durazno, mezclado con color rosado y un poco de púrpura en las partes más oscurecidas que bordean el rostro.

Before moving on to another important detail, I added color to the eyes. We can see that our beautiful character has yellow eyes, so to make them a little different, I added yellow while adding some orange to the edges. After this, I started painting the hair gray, but not completely. I only added shading so that the hair would look bleached, as in the original design.

Antes de pasar a otro detalle importante puse color en los ojos, podemos ver que nuestra bella personaje tiene los ojos de color amarillo, así que para hacerlos algo diferentes les pongo amarillo mientras que en los bordes algo de color naranja. Después d esto comencé a pintar el cabello de color gris, pero no todo completo sino que hice solamente sombras para que el cabello quedara blanqueado como en el diseño original.

So I could then move on to adding more details. Something I did differently from the original card design were the horns. I made them like those of a mountain ram. I like this style, so I added them. To paint them, I started with a layer of terracotta, which is a somewhat reddish brown, and then I added dark brown, remembering to add small details to make them look like real horns. Next, I started painting the upper part of the garment at the neck with purple.

Así luego pude pasar a agregar más detalles, algo que hice diferente al diseño original de la carta son los cuernos, los hice como los de un carnero montañez, me gusta este estilo así que lo agregué. Para pintarlos comencé con una capa de color terracota, que es un café algo rojizo y luego fui agregando café oscuro, sin olvidar hacer pequeños detalles para que luciera como unos cuernos de verdad. Seguidamente comencé a pintar la parte superior de la ropa a nivel del cuello, con color purpura.

I continued painting parts of her clothes with purple, and to create the shadows, I used a darker purple that's almost blue. Then I started painting the gloves, which I colored a very light turquoise.

Seguí pintando parte de sus vestiduras con el color púrpura, para hacer las partes donde van las sombra sutilicé un color púrpura más oscuro que es casi azul. Luego fui píntando los guantes a los cuales les puse un verde turquesa muy claro.

Next, I painted the clock, with gold edges, and the inner part of the frame was painted fuchsia. Then, with a fine-tipped marker, I began outlining the entire drawing, starting with the face. As soon as I made the first strokes, I could see how beautiful it was turning out.

Después pinté el reloj, con los bordes dorados y en la aprte interna la arnea la pinté de fucsia. Luego con un marcador de punta fina comencé a delinear todo el dibujo comenzando desde el rostro. Apenas hice los primeros trazos pude apreciar lo linda que estaba quedando.

To finish, I started blending the colors with a marker. This helped a lot to give the drawing contrast and volume, especially to highlight the beauty of this character. Another detail I added was painting the background red to make it stand out even more. I was realizing that I was leaving my drawings blank, and the background is always very important.

PAra finalizar comencé a mezclar los colroes con marcador, esto me ayudó bastante a darle contraste y volumen al dibujo, especialmente para resaltar la belleza de este personaje. Otro detalle que agregué fue pintar el fondo de color rojo para que resaltara aun más, me estaba dando cuenta de que dejaba a mis dibujos en blanco y el fondo siempre es muy importantes.

FINAL WORK

What did you think of the result? Don't you think it's beautiful? Honestly, I fell in love with her face because I tried to make it realistic, but at a drawing level. The rest of the body also turned out very well. I think a wider range of markers could deepen the colors even more. But for now, this is all I have to say. I hope you like it. ¿Qué les ha parecido el resultado? ¿No les parece hermosa? la verdad quedé enamorado de su rostro, porque traté de hacerlos realistas pero a nivel de dibujo, y el resto del cuerpo también quedó muy bien, creo que con una gama de marcadores más amplia se podría profundizar aún más en los colores. Pero por ahora, esto ha sido todo mi aporte, espero que les haya gustado, antes que todo deseo a que todos los artistas triunfen en el concurso y que le svaya muy bien con sus obras.
