Splinterlands Art Contest 366 - Chaos Evoker Fan Art Drawing [ENG-ESP]

Hello dear alien friends and all the artists who participate week after week in the Splinterlands art contest, this is my first drawing of the month to participate, and since we are in the month of Inktober, I wanted to do it following a bit of that drawing style that are always seen in this challenge, with the difference that I have added color and thus be able to make the character that I have chosen. And the character I have chosen is the Chaos Evoker card, as its name indicates, the power of chaos accompanies this beautiful and powerful warrior, I really liked that design and I also tried to do it in a comic style. Without further ado, I will show you step by step how I did it, let's begin!

Hola queridos amigos aliens y a todos los artistas que semana a semana participan en el concurso de arte de Splinterlands, este es mi primer dibujo del mes para participar, y ya que estamos en el mes del Inktober, quise hacerlo siguiendo un poco ese estilo del dibujo que siempre se ven en este desafío, con la diferencia de que he agregado color y así poder hacer al personaje que he elegido. Y del personaje que he elegido es la carta Chaos Evoker, como su nombre lo indica, el poder del caos la acompaña a esta bella y poderosa guerrera, me gustó mucho ese diseño y traté también de hacerlo estilo cómic. Sin más nada que agregar les mostraré paso a paso como lo hice, comencemos!

PROCESS

To begin my drawing, I used white opal cardstock as my main materials, and for the sketch, I used a 6H pencil and a 2H pencil. The 6H pencil has a harder tip, which results in a lighter line. So, with this pair of pencils, I gradually sketched the Chaos Evoker, mainly from the head, then adding detail by detail to the rest of the body.

Para comenzar mi dibujo utilicé como materiales principales cartulina opalina de color blanco, y para el boceto un lápiz 6H y también uno 2H, el lápiz 6H es uno de los lápices que tiene la punta más dura lo que se transforma en un trazo más claro. Así que con este par de lápices poco a poco voy haciendo el boceto e Chaos Evoker, principalmente desde la cabeza y así agregando detalle a detalle el resto del cuerpo.

Once the pencil sketch is finished, I begin adding color to the entire drawing. Chaos Evoker has a red cloak that covers his head and part of his body, so I do the following: Using a wax pencil, I add the first layer, and then using a marker, I add the second layer. This allows the color to dissolve and blend better. Once the marker ink dries, I can add more color.

Una vez terminado el boceto con lápiz comienzo a agregar color a todo el dibujo. Chaos Evoker tiene un manto con el cual se cubre la cabeza y parte del cuerpo de color rojo, así que hago lo siguiente, con lápiz de color de cera voy agregando la primera capa y después con el marcador agrego la segunda capa, esto permite disolver el color y que se mezcle mejor, una vez que seque la tinta del marcador se puede agregar más color.

Then I begin adding the second color, which would be yellow, especially for an accessory that Chaos Evoker wears on his head, a symbol of his power. Also in the inner part of the drawing, what would be the face, I also add a bit of color, a pink for the skin of the face, especially a shadow that appears from the middle of the face up. With the fine-tipped marker, I begin to outline certain areas so that the drawing gains a bit of contrast and volume.

Luego comienzo a agregar el segundo color, que sería el amarillo, especialmente en un accesorio que Chaos Evoker tiene en su cabeza, símbolo de su poder. También en la parte interior del dibujo, lo que vendría a ser el rostro también le agrego un poco de color, un rosado para la piel del rostro, especialmente una sombra que se hace de la mitad del rostro hacia arriba. Con el marcador punta fina comienzo a delinear ciertas partes para que el dibujo ya vaya cobrando un poco de contraste y volumen.

With the pen, I make quick, slanted strokes to give it that comic-book style. While I continue, I also paint the necklace, which has yellow pearls. When I finished drawing this far, I looked at it and it seemed like a virgin, haha.

Con el bolígrafo voy haciendo trazos rápidos y de forma inclinada para darle ese estilo de dibujo de comic. Mientras sigo pintandp también el collar que tiene perlas de color amarillo. Cuando el dibujo estaba hasta este punto, lo observaba se me hizo semejante a una virgen jejeje.

One of the things I wanted to add to this fan art to make it more personalized was to put Chaos Evoker with his palm open launching an energy power, I didn't want to do it as is even though the drawing style was different, and I also added flashes of energy, which I painted with blue lines, a bit to stand out among the other colors I had been using until now. I also made some modifications to the staff, adding a sharp tip, since in the original it has a sphere. Then I added more lines and details, especially with the thicker tip black marker I drew the lines of the edges, in this way it was finalized.

Una de las cosas que quise agregar a este fan art para hacerlo más personalizado fue poner a Chaos Evoker con la palma de la mano abierta lanzando un poder de energía, no quise hacerla tal cual aun cuando el estilo de dibujo era diferente, y también agregué destellos de energía, los cuales pinte de líneas azules, un poco para resaltar entre los demás colores que venía utilizando hasta ahora. El báculo también le hice unas modificaciones, agregando una punta afilada, ya que en el original tiene una esfera. Después fui agregando más líneas y detalles, especialmente con el marcador negro de punta más gruesa dibuje las líneas de los bordes, de esta manera quedó finalizado.

What did you think of the result? I think Chaos Evoker is truly beautiful. It would be a challenge to make a more realistic version of the character to see how it turns out. In the end, I added a black and white image; I couldn't resist the temptation to follow the Inktober spirit. I hope you liked it; I'm very happy to have participated. ¿Qué les ha parecido el resultado? opino que Chaos Evoker es realmente hermosa, sería todo un desafío hacer una versión más realista del personaje a ver como queda. Al final agregué una imagen en blanco y negro, no resistí la tentación de seguir el espíritu del Inktober.
