Splinterlands Art Contest 350 - Possessed Puppet Fan Art Drawing [ENG-ESP]

Hello dear alien friends and all Splinterlands fans, I hope you are all doing well. I am very happy that my fan art from last week was chosen in 7th place. It has truly been an honor, not only for me but also for everyone who participated. This week I have chosen the character Possessed Puppet, a doll that, as its name suggests, is possessed, and it seemed like a great idea to draw it since I like characters with a macabre air. I did this fan art in a somewhat gothic style where the skull is present as a symbol of darkness. It is done with colored pencils, I hope you like it.

Hola queridos amigos aliens y a todos los fans de Splinterlands, espero que se encuentren muy bien. Estoy muy contento ya que mi fan art de la semana pasada fue elegido en el 7mo lugar, la verdad ha sido todo un honor, y no solo para mi sino también para todos los que que participaron. En esta semana he elegido al personaje Possessed Puppet, es una muñeca que como su nombre lo dice está poseía, y se me hizo genial para dibujarla ya que me gustan los personajes con aires macabros, este fan art lo hice con un estilo algo gótico donde esta presente el cráneo como símbolo de lo oscuro. Esta realizado con lápices de colores, espero que les guste.

PROCESS

To make this drawing, I used gray cardstock, which, like black cardstock, greatly contributes to the realism and contrast of the colors. I made the sketch with a simple white school colored pencil and then gradually added more details.

Para hacer este dibujo utilicé cartulina de color gris, la cual al igual que la de color negro ayuda mucho a dar realismo y contraste a los colores. Hice el boceto con un simple lápiz de color blanco escolar y después agregué poco a poco más detalles.

I then used black to shape the other part of the face, which is made like a skull that is revealed after that part is uncovered. Although the sketch is small, I tried to make everything look like a skull, adding the eyes and teeth, while I painted the other half of the face, which appears intact, with white pencil.

Después utilicé un color negro para darle forma a la otra parte del rostro, el cual esta hecho como un cráneo que se revela luego de que se descubriera esa parte. Aunque el boceto es pequeño traté de hacer todo parecido a un cráneo, agregué los ojos y los dientes mientras que la otra mitad del rostro que luce intacta la pinté con lápiz de color blanco.

Next, I began painting one of her eyes, a deep red combined with orange and yellow. My goal was to make it realistic within the drawing style. I also added dark areas within the area where the eyes are located, also using red shadows.

Seguidamente comencé a pintar uno de sus ojos, de un intenso color rojo combinado con naranja y amarillo, mi objetivo es hacerlo realista dentro del estilo del dibujo. Fui agregando también partes oscuras dentro de la zona donde está ubicado el ojos, también con sombras de color rojo.

To make the white parts more intense, I used paint; this greatly increases the contrast when using other colors. On the other half of the face, I painted the eye, which is more distinct and makes the look even more macabre.

Para hacer las partes blancas más intensa utilicé pintura, eso ayudar mucho aumentar el contraste al momento de utilizar otros colores. Así la otra mitad del rostro fui haciendo el ojo el cual es más diferente y hace que quede la mirada aun más macabra.

Next, I did the hair, which is arranged in two large braids, and I painted it a silvery color, mixing white and black with gray. Then I did some of the clothing, and finally, I blended the colors using a brush.

Seguidamente hice el cabello el cual esta repartido en dos enormes trenzas, y lo pinté de un color que se viera plateado, mezclando color blanco y también negro con gris. Después hice parte de la ropa y al final difuminé los colores utilizando un pincel.

FINAL WORK
