3 Upcoming Metaverse Cryptos To Watch In 2022
Facebook rebranded itself to Meta last year and since then 'Metaverse' has become the newest fad in the Crypto space. The metaverse refers to digital platforms focused on virtual and augmented reality where users can interact with each other within a code-generated environment. Crypto & Blockchain technology has changed the landscape and provided unlimited ways to incentivize developers, creators & users giving the power back in the hand of people. Using DeFi & GameFi elements - gamers and investors can now earn income by spending time and playing around in these virtual environments. Using NFTs, they can actually own the digital assets in the ever-expanding digital world. So who would use Meta that is a centralized piece of shit? Only the ignorant people who are unaware of the blockchain-based alternatives. 😋
Two of my favorite Metaverse platforms are Decentraland and Sandbox - both of them are built on Ethereum and they have grown a lot in the past few years, especially in 2021. There are many other such platforms that are in their early stages. Let's have a look at the top 3 Metaverse projects I am most interested in 2022 and they are not even launched yet. I am pretty sure at least one of them would be as big as Sandbox or Decentraland in the upcoming years:
Ertha is a Play 2 Earn blockchain alternative (built on BSC) to Simulation City where you can buy land in the form of Hexagons which are NFTs. You can build civilizations and control politics, economy, military, healthcare, education, and almost everything. The assets you create on your land are tradable NFTs. Right now the land sale is going on and only 10000 NFTs are available to buy. You can check out the lands here: https://globe.ertha.com/ and buy them after choosing "For Sale" filter from the options as shown.
The price of their native token $ERTHA is $0.113 right now which is quite low in my opinion. In January it touched $0.49 just after the launch and tumbling down since then. Do your math!
Arcade Network is a very unique project. According to me, it's a hidden gem. Why? Because it's powered by Harmony One Blockchain and they are trying to create the first Decentralized Metaverse Bridge to trade NFTs across platforms. Just imagine if you are able to seamlessly move your Splinterlands assets to other games like Axie Infinity and trade them for other tokens. Interoperability between different Metverses will allow us to create one giant Metaverse which continues to expand forever with unlimited possibilities.
They have a pretty solid team with strong credentials and a huge backing of investors and partners. Right now the price of their native crypto $ARC is only $0.03. Again very low considering the amount of value they are going to generate in the Metaverse space.
Tranquility City is a virtual city Metaverse where you can buy Real Estate and mint your own character NFTs. This will help you to interact with other players in the game, have fun, and trade assets. They are planning to provide more utilities to like community events and financial districts where you will be able to farm or rent your assets. They have successfully got the grant from the Harmony one team to develop the game further. The game's testnet is live which you can try to get the feel of the gameplay.
You will be asked to add Harmony One network in your Metamask once you connect it on the testnet and it can be done automatically. Their governance token is called $LUMEN which is priced at $0.417 right now. In the future, it will have more utilities based on the development of the project but right now you can use it to trade NFTs in the marketplace.
I am going to bag all these projects in 2022 and see how they end up at the end of the year. Please note that all of them are in their early stages so it's a little risky to invest in them but then you can be in for some decent returns in the upcoming years if they develop as promised. Please let me know if you know of any other Metaverse projects that are great. Comments belows guys, lets gos!

Interesting information, the gaming world has changed a lot, especially with the presence of blockchain and NFT technology, I myself am still trying to focus on just one game, Splinterlands, oh is SPL classified in the Metaverse? I think it has something to do with it because you mentioned a metaverse bridge that can be used to trade NFTs across platforms.

Yes. Splinterlands can be classified as a Metaverse platform. You can do a lot apart from gaming!

Arcade Network sounds really interesting. Gonna have a look when I get a chance. Thanks!

Interesting stuff! I didn't know about these projects. It's hard to say what will become of them because I think the metaverse is still far away from its true shape but it's definitely interesting to see how it unfolds.

Yes brother. It's cool to see these platforms popping up with new stuff. I wonder how big each of them will become!

metaverse projects apart to be growing rapidly. Happen to hold a few like mana and sand. The others shared up there seem quite interesting. Will be checking them all out

Awesome. Mana and Sand are the best!!

The metaverse play seems to be in full play on all the blockchains. I am a bit skeptical about it though because most of these projects just look like they are too centralized. Besides speculative value, I really can't see how they will generate that much value.

Yes. It's the talk of every town! Right now it's all speculation. These are the ones I found most interesting out of so many of them.
