Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! Winning battle with Tasoshi Drakamoto and my Game Progress

Greetings to all my fellow players around the world and to Splinterlands. Once a week I give time to write something about Splinterlands. Today I will be sharing my battle and game progress. I woke up today and red about Tasoshi Drakamoto being buff, lowering its mana from 8 to 6 and adding pain forge ability at level 2. But I'm only using level 1 so Painforge is will not be at my advantage at this point.

Lets jump in with my first battle with Tasoshi.

Highlights of the game is the 50 mana cap and back to basic combat rule, the 2 other ruleset like armored up and reverse speed can be ignored. As expected in back to basic, magic damage card will be used. Its just a matter of archons ability that can change the game.

I chose Lorkus for additional magic damage and life leech ability for 2 cards of my choosing, which is Tasoshi and Infernal Firestorm. Then the rest of the cards have high HP to prolong the battle while Tasoshi and Infernal is sipping the life of my enemy.

My opponent chose Sheng Shai, an intilligent move I would say, with back to basic theres no heal and cleanse. With the combination of dragon and water element, I'm in a tough fight here. We were pretty much same when it comes to level.

Moving on with my 2nd battle with Tasoshi Drakamoto.

This battle is 59 mana cap, wands out- magic damage card only combat rule, exemption are those cards with dual attack with magic. I remember Grandmaster Rathe of Chaos Legion of the previous modern with this rule. And the other 2 part of ruleset are armored up and even stevens-cards that have even number of mana.

Again I will be using Tasoshi, but this time around I would like to try Nidhoggr of dragon, will be using its blast and deathblow ability, combined wirh the fire element. I seldom use this archon because of its 10 mana. Cards I use with this battle are Rage at the front, my tank type in this battle with void ability, followed by Infernal Firestorm, then Tasoshi Drakamoto, 4th card will be Fizbo the Fabolous to heal my Rage, then Bellowmancer at the 5th and last card with Taunt ability to save my Rage at the front giving Tasoshi and Fizbo sometime to throw a lot of damage in battle.

My opponent pick the fire element as well, his advatage is speed, magic reflect, life leech, and void armor. He slightly have advanatage as well on level.

I was able to pull this win again, I think the overwhelming power of legendary cards is too much for the enemy's card to handle. My second win using Tasoshi Drakamoto. Click here to watch the battle.

Now that Tasoshi Drakamoto has been reduce to 6 mana and has added painforge ability, he csn be easily squeez in the teams composition. I think it was a good move to reduce it to 6 mana, to make it more usable. My 2 wins above was not dominated by Tasoshi but it helps a lot since i was able to use it at wands out rule where i can hit the last card that the opponent dont expect, unlike the usual ability of magic cards which is snipe. Since Tasoshi is a Promo Card I think he deserves to be in spotlight.

Splinterlands is my hobby and at the same time it gives me opportunity to earn. I am just a low level player, I am trying to build a deck so I can compete on higher league to get higher reward. Some of my rewards here in peakd, fees that I collect from liquidity pool, and rentals from my cards goes to Splinterlands to level up my card and my game. The Splinterlands journey is just becoming exciting this year, the team is doing a great job.
