Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Unsung Heroes!

Greetings to all my fellow players around the world and to Splinterlands. How are you all doing Splinters? Hope you are all doing great.

Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge this week is about Unsung Heroes. As a player, we usually have eye on specific cards that we use in battle. They are our go to cards, we already have a line up in specific ruleset and mana cap. I had to admit I also do overlook some of the cards that I have in my deck. So for this weeks challenge my underrated card is none other than Archer Koi. Lets take a look at its stats and abilities.

Archer Koi is a Rare Water Element Unit. It is a range type monster, with repair ability at level 1 to 3. Painforge will be unlocked when it reach level 4 while Fury will be only available at max level. When it comes to damage, health and armor, its considerably low at level 1 to 5. It can only reach its potential at level 6 to 8.

I am playing a bronze level deck, as you can see in photo above where I marked it with box. I used it to gain advantage with my battle and it helps me pull this victory at Gold League. Lets take a look at my battle.

The battle gives us only 1 combat rule which is Armored Up. My choice is Elias Maxx Pruitt so I can summon Water and Life. Thinking of the ruleset, I thought of using the Void Armor ability of three units to utilize the additional armor, while adding 3 other units with repair ability including Archer Koi which will be crucial in this battle.
While my enemy, picked Bella Ratajowlski of Life Element and a pure Ulund Monster, a complete bloodline line up. Its a rare opporunity to see a team like this. All units will now have the Shield which will cancel my Archer Koi's 1 range damage. But interestingly it will be the game changer in this battle.

At the early rounds of the battle its pretty much even. But as the round goes by, its clear that I am overpowered by the silver deck of my enemy. It was round 6 when Meripit Mossmender was killed, Archer Koi will take charge of the game. Begginning round 7 the game will change and will be at my favor. The void armor and repair will come into play, with his cards damage divided due to 1 unit with snipe ability, my tank will survive and 3 units will be preserve until the 13th round where I came as a victor.

The win is collective effort of the archons and unit, applying the right strategy alligning ability with the ruleset will change the game even if the enemy has higher level of cards. So basically it is situational, using this line up will not work in other ruleset.
