This weeks theme on our weekly Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge is Combo Chronicles.

Battling Everyday at Modern Rank we kind of memorize our line up for a specific Mana Cap and Ruleset. Sometimes we win and sometimes we fail. Not every strategy will work the same way from our previous win, its important to be flexible and continously learning and finding the best Combo. Now lets go ahead to my participation for our weekly challenge.

Favorite card combos or team synergies in action!

For this battle that I will be sharing, the ruleset are:

• Blood and Sunder
• Upclose and Personal

I chose Life Element for this battle to utilize Eternal Tofu's Thorn Ability, Additional 2 Health to all my Unit, Scavenger and Triage Ability for my 1 Unit. Hoping to control the battle with Thorn and the healing ability from Triage and of course the boost of Health for my team.

Cards or abilities that work best together

• Silverblade Fighter will be my tank, although all Units here is basically a tank in nature because of the Upclose and Personal modifier, but I pick this Unit to be my frontline because of its huge Void Armor, a deffensive approach if ever my ememy use a unit with Magic Attack.
• Saltwraith Bulkhead will serve as my second tank and can attack from second position because of Flank ability of Silverblade Fighter.
• Riklauniman at 3rd position will be a my source of damage of 3 Range Attack and 2 Melee Damage because it has Charge Ability.
• Gramel the Hunger one of the most versatile of card in Splinterlands at 4th position is also a good source of damage with Scatter Ability.
• Olivia of the Brook, my favorite card, with Mimic Ability and the reciever of Scavenger and Triage will be the Core of my team.
• New Belurok Aegis at the last position is a Unit with Taunt Ability, is an important part of my team to divert the attack of enemy team thereby prolonging the survival of Silverblade Fighter. This will not provide any attack just damage absorber, but since my team has Thorn, its a defense to offense strategy.

My enemy team pick Water Element.

• Prophet Rosa Level 6
• Anyu Huntswoman Level 2
• Commander Slade Level 5
• Tidal Tsunamist Level 5
• Hodlor Level 1
• Sea Dog of Eight Level 5
• Great Bear Druid Level 2

Strategy or situation where your combo shines

I Neutralized the enemy in this battle with Thorn and Magic Damage. Eternal Tofus really suits the Upclose and Personal Modifier. I only lost Silverblade Fighter, but all other Units not only survive but with still lots of Health. Although my enemy fought well because of Commander Slade, lots of my teams attack thrown at this Unit miss. It even have the Deflect Ability and Shield so it survive longer than it should. But with Olivia of the Brooks Mimicking every ability especially the Enfeeble, Commander Slade get a dose of his own medicine. The combine Magic Attack of Olivia of the Brooks and Gramel the Hunger put an end to Commander Slade paving the way for my Victory. This win will not be possible as well if the mana cap is low, I was able to put a team with huge amount of mana which is an important factor in this battle as well.
