Greetings to all my fellow players around the world and to Splinterlands. This weeks challenge is all about " Breakthroughs — the epic moments when your strategy, timing, and deck choices all align to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat".

I looked on my seasons activity and found the battle that I know I had last season that fits this weeks challenge. I knew in my mind when I did this battle that this is something to write about. Without further ado lets dive in to this epic battle.

COMBAT RULE

The mana cap is a headache! This is my weakest point in Splinterlands, the low mana cap. I have a very few wins in battles like this. But I know there is always a way.

I knew I had to rely on my go to cards Sheng Xiao of the Dragon Element. I will be getting some inspiration from the qoutes

Well this is very true even in Splinterlands. You'll see later on as we progress in battle.

The Range or Archer sit this one out. Not a problem for me, this will give me advantage as I am not a fan of Range Unit. It narrows the choices for my enemy.

The Fog of War is thick, we cant see the enemy, no sneak and snipe attack, the only way to deal with the enemy is a clash head on!

Briar patch makes our Melee suffers from its own attack.

MY TEAM

I summon Sheng Xiao as my Archon to provide my Unit with Poison Burst ability.

Daigendark Surveyor will be my tank in the position, she has no attack, but she have two critical ability, the magic reflect and poison burst.

Followed by Abyssal Elemental in 2nd position, it has 2 magic damage and reciever of Posion Burst ability as well. With resurgence ability of its own, this unit is crucial. It will provide me with twice Poison Burst when it is killed and resurrect and killed again. Just hoping that the unit adjacent to attacker will also be poison.

And at the third position is Halfling Refugee, with the briar patch combat rule I don't need his attack, I just needed him to be my last card standing. I will be relying mostly in magic reflect of daigendark surveyor and her poison burst and also from Abyssal Elementals two magic damage and poison burst(two times).

Time to reveal my opponents team.

ENEMY TEAM

My enemy also picked Sheng Xiao, perhaps this is the most picked Archon when it comes to low mana cap due to its Poison Burst abilty.

Endless Gibbon as his tank in first postion a legendary with 1 melee attack and 2 HP. A casualty for sure when it performs its first attack.

Halfling Refugee level three is placed in second position by my opponent. It has Self Heal ability. An advantage for my enemy I would say, it can cancel out the Briar Patch or Torn rule. Now I became underdog.

Enemy's third card is also Daigendark Surveyor, at level 5 she has 7HP and it slows my card as well. But in this battle it doesn't matter.

His last card is Thanalorian Scion, somehow I predicted he will picked this card. I didn't choose this because it can die easily with Sheng Xiao. Lucky for me my prediction plays a big role for winning this battle.

All cards are reveal, my opponent is a true rival, we have some identical cards, we thought of the same strategy to use the tactics of Sheng Xiao's Poison Burst. My rivals card level is in between bronze to silver. He even have the advantage of having four units against mine with only three. But I am lucky to pick Abyssal Elemental.
