Allow me to share a personal reflection on the profound impact of acquiring skills, particularly in the context of my own journey.

Upon completing secondary school, I found myself at a crossroads, seeking a direction for my future. It was during this time that I recognized the pivotal role skills play in shaping success stories, especially in a country like mine. Regardless of one's educational background, the acquisition of practical skills emerged as a key factor in my personal and professional development.

Computer literacy became my first pursuit. With a genuine love for working with systems from a young age, I chose to delve into the realm of computing. Enrolling in a computer school proved to be a transformative decision, as it equipped me with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. This newfound skill not only opened doors but also landed me a reception job at an electrical company, marking the beginning of my journey towards financial independence.

Yet, my journey did not stop there. Recognizing the importance of diversifying my skill set, I embraced catering during my rest days as a receptionist. Learning the art of cake-making and continental cooking not only became a passion but also a means of supplementing my income. From baking birthday cakes for loved ones to selling treats in school and church, this additional skill became a reliable source of pocket money during my student days.
Trust me the money I have made from this baking skill has really been of help to me, before I knew hive this was my way of earning my pocket money as a student, since I was not ayyo work again as a receptionist due to my school this has been the catalyst for my little upkeep in school then before coming to the hive blockchain.

As I reflect on the past, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities these skills have afforded me. Looking ahead, my aspirations extend further. In the coming year, I aim to add web development to my repertoire, inspired by the belief that continuous skill acquisition enhances personal and professional growth.

I'm glad I had two skills in my life and for this year I want to add another skill which is web development, this is another wonderful skill I admire and would love to go for. Having a skill should be necessary for everyone, it doesn't matter if you are a graduate everybody should have skills, it helps a lot especially in a country that doesn't have enough employment opportunities, skills can create one for you.
