Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! Playing WILD feels good

Hey Splintermates, what is going? Here is everything doing well. I am enjoying my last holidays, so I am trying to provide some quality posts to my readers😎. Hope you enjoy this one as well.

In this weeks Splinterlands Social Media Challenge the team is proposing us to share some remarkable moments within our most favourite game 🤠.

If you are an active Splinterlands player, you might have seen a lot of recent posts on @peakd and X about the latest game mode called FRONTIER. Even myself have prepared several posts welcoming the FRONTIER game mode.

Everytime the Splinterlands team provides something new, there is a lot of hype and excitement. And that is super good. However, sometimes we forget about the good old things. Do you still remember that there is a game mode called WILD format😉?

Even I have forgotten about this game mode recently. As you might have seen in some of my posts, my goals in Splinterlands have been to get into the TOP 100 ranking in MODERN format. I have been investing in some real nice cards and currently I am placed in rank 21. Please check below😜.

My friend @nozem01 wasn´t aware that you could check the ranking in the leaderboard, but I am checking this on a regular basis. In this way, I manage the amount of battles I play in MODERN. As I am placed in the TOP 25 and I want to keep my position, I am starting to accumulate some energy.

So today in the morning, I have prepared a nice cup of coffee and have decided to pay the 2000 DEC fee to play the old good WILD format. And trust me, it feels really really good😎. It feels good to play with some old friends like Kelya Frendul, Quix the Devious or Djinn Oshannus🤝.

WILD FORMAT - OLD but GOLD

For the new Splinterlands players that might be reading this, if you want to play FRONTIER, MODERN or SURVIVAL play mode, you can just do it straight forward. Well, for MODERN or SURVIVAL mode you will need to buy the Spellbook😅.

But if you want to play the WILD format, you will need to pay a 2000 DEC fee. It´s not huge, but you will need to pay🤑.

But once you pay, you reveal the whole Splinterlands universe, as you will have access to put on the battlefield ALL Splinterlands cards. Isn´t that amazing😵? The feeling that you have once you launch a battle and have access to all your cards is just simply great.

As mentioned above, I would like to share with you now the very first battle I have played today after paying the WILD pass.

MAGIC vs ANTI MAGIC

The battle that you can follow with more detail is about MAGIC summoner vs ANTI MAGIC summoner. Water vs Death.

If you take a look at the battlefield and the ruleset, I decided to counter the Armored Up (each unit gains +2 shield) and Melee Mayhem (Melee unit can attack from any position) rulesets by going full Magic.

In this ruleset, lots of players decide to go full melee. So I have decided to go with full Magic attack.

@farmed-today has had a good intuition and has countered my summoner with Thaddius Brood. Lets analyze the battle now more in depth.

ROUND 1 - Need for Speed 🏃

As mentioned, my strategy in this battle has been to use magic attack and a to provide additional speed to Djinn Oshannus. One of my favourite Chaos Legion legendary cards 😎. Additionally, I have set Venary Marksrat on the first position to give Djinn additional stats.

ROUND 2 - Plan works 😎

The battle is following my plan. Djinn Oshannus has gained additional stats and has now 6 speed. The chances that the enemy hits him are low. And I have a lot of back line damage with Shock Trooper and Magi of Chaos.

ROUND 3 - GG mate 🤝

The magic attack dealt by my team has been unstoppable. I have taken down his main tank and Djinn has won +1 speed. The battle is all done. It´s GG for ESTEBAM😎.
