Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Leaderboard fight and a new family member

Hey Splintermates, how are you doing? I hope everything is going fine😎. In today´s post, the Splinterlands team has proposed a new Splinterlands Social Media Challenge where we need to show to the community some exciting moments😎.

In my case, I would like to share with you how ESTEBAM is fighting very hard in the Modern ranked leaderboard and what is the recent purchase I have done to try to climb even higher🤑.

I am not going to lie you, my goal is to end in the TOP 100 of the Diamond Leaderboard. Since the rotation of Chaos Legion out from Modern, the Rebellion summoners have gain more and more importance.

If you want to be inside the TOP 100 players, you will need to own most of them. It´s true that you will need to invest money into the game (it´s not only Play 2 Earn, it´s as well Invest 2 Earn). For that reason, I started investing and trying to get some copies of the Rebellion summoners.

In the picture above, you can see that I own a lvl 2 copy of all legendary Rebellion summoners, except from the Eternal TOFU. I know, TOFU is one of the most OP summoner from the game. But it´s just too expensive.

Having said that, I would like to share with you the current Leaderboard and from the previous season. As mentioned, I am pretty close to the TOP 100.

LAST SEASON

I ended up in rank 146. I was during the season TOP 80, but I had a bad loosing streak that pushed me out of the Leaderboard. There is a super hard fight between players to get these juicy rewards💪.

CURRENT SEASON

In this current season, I am ranked 162. If you compare both rating, you will see that I have currently more rating than in the previous season. However, I am place 16 places below. IMO, players are improving their decks to be more and more competitive in Modern.

VENKA THE VILE - WELCOME TO THE FAMILY

I am aware that I will need to keep investing in order to achieve my goal of entering in the TOP 100 ranking. I have a humble card collection of 544.250 CP. And I am facing battles against players that have way better decks than me, but this is not an issue.

As part of my way up in the ranking, I decided to listen to my guild mate @nozem01 and grab 1 bcx of a strong Rebellion legendary card. Please, give a warm welcome to VENKA THE VILE.

She is a legendary unit with lots and lots possible combinations. First of all, she is a neutral unit, which makes her elegible under all rulesets (expect one). That opens the possibilities to combine her with legendary summoners, such as Lorkus, Elias Max, Cryptic or Tofu himself.

But not only that, Venka has lots of melee damage (4 at lvl 1), but she has aswell decent speed (3 at lvl 1) and 5 health points. And to these stats, she also adds two amazing abilities that make her a super OP card: Charge and Piercing.

Basically, she can attack from every position and she can penetrate the armour. If you are able to protect her in a couple of rounds, she will destroy every enemy unit that she finds. She is a real monster card.

Okay, ESTEBAM. You have give a lots of details about Venka, but show us some action😇!

Of course, Splintermates! Under the following battle you will be able to see her in action. She and some of my other amazing units will do tons of damage and will destroy the enemy 😏.

I am pretty sure that Venka the Vile is going to bring me lots of wins and that I am one step closer to climb into the TOP 100 thanks to her.
