Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge - Conclave Arcana

Hey Splintermates, what is going on? I hope you had a nice and relaxing weekend. Today we have a bank holiday in the town where I work, so I have decided to use part of the day to participate in the new Community Engagement Challenge proposed by the team🙌.

For this weeks challenge, the proposed thema has been CONCLAVE ARCANA, the new card set🤠. The team has been working really hard and there are so many new abilities, cards, foil types and bloodlines. There are simply just too many new things, that I am getting crazy to try to figure out the new meta of the game 😬.

NEW CARDS - NEW META

With Chaos Legion and Riftwatchers having left the Modern format, lots and lots of our favourite cards have rotated to Wild. This means, we are not going to see cards like Cursed Windeku, Goblin Psychic or Deeplurker anymore in Modern😞. So of you might be upset, I can understand that.

But the good thing is, there are currently 85 new cards including the promo cards. So don´t worry, you will fall again in love with some of them.

In my case, I found out yesterday while I was watching a youtube video from @infidel1258 where he was showing a strategy with these 2 cards: Razi Clanktrap and Lucky Longshot.

Cards with Weapons Training ability have always been meta, as they provide hitting power to support cards. This is the case of Lucky Longshot. But for my surprise and that is the reason I have chosen her as my favorite card from the Conclave Arcana set (at least affordable for me 😝), at lvl 3, this beautiful card gains MAGIC ATTACK.

This is an amazing boost, not only for her, but also for the support cards. I have started buying this card and incorporating her into my deck. So if you see me on the battlefield, be afraid of her😏.

LUCKY LONGSHOT - YOUR BEST TEAMMATE 🤜🤛

In the Conclave Arcana and Rebellion set, there are several support cards that could gain additional utility thanks to Lucky Longshot.

CHAOS ANIMATOR would be a death card that could benefit from her. This card is specially useful with the current magic meta. Having void and reflection is a card you need for low mana battles.

Under most rulesets (except in one), all neutral cards are available. One card that has been meta since day 1 has been GRIMBARDUN SMITH. This card is a super tank and he gets specially interesting
at lvl 5, where he gets void and shield abilities.

Combining him with Lucky Longshot is going to create an amazing duo. A neutral tank with dual attack and lots of abilites, what an amazing combination.

But hold on Splintermates, have you thought combining her with one of the most OP cards currently, LORKUS the Modern king?

Lucky Longshot at lvl 3 providing that extra magic attack to support units will boost together with Lorkus +1 Magic attack. As mentioned above, I am still not able to play that ultimate combination, but I am already looking forward to it.

The new Conclave Arcana set is providing so many new cards and abilities that I haven´t figure it out yet. But I am sure my combination of Lucky Longshot with Lorkus is going to be at the top of meta. If you have any other combination, please let me know 😎.
