Rolling the Dice on an End of Season Gold Card Reward

As a casual Splinterlands player, my end of season rewards are typically small. I'll usually get a few cards at the 150 abd 750 Glint level. I've done a few chests with mixed results. So this time with over 3,700 Glint I decided to roll the dice and go for a common gold card reward. At first I wasn't sure if this was a good idea. Think of all the 150 and 750 Glint cards I could get to add more to my owned card stack. BUT, what if the gold card reward worth 3,500 Glint was a real power player? Hmmm....what to do?

I went for it and was less than impressed with the result. Not a power player card in any form or fashion. Oh well. I'll put it into the rotation and see what kind of difference a gold foil Ujurak Elder might make to my game play.
