Splinterlands - The Begginer's Guide - Part 2

Hello everyone! 😄

One more post about basic strategies focused on Bronze/Silver League + Modern Format.

Last Post I wrote about 12 Mana Rule Set. This time I'm going to show some possibilities to Setup a team with 13-14 Mana.

Death Deck

With the Death Deck I like to Setup the Team like the image below.

13 Mana: Thaddius Brood (4) + Windeku (6) + Death Elemental (3)
14 Mana: the same as above + Creeping Ooze (1) or Carrrion Shade (1).

In any combination Furious Chicken (0) and Corpse Fiend (0) are always a nice bonus.

This strategy works well against most of the Splinters.

Thaddius Brood: counters Obsidian/Alric with -1 Magic Damage, it helps against the spam of monsters with Low Mana Cost that usually has 1-2 HP and counters the +1 HP of Tarsa.

Cursed Windeku: is a good Tank that counters melee attackers in general and also damage the ones with Reach, Sneak (if he is the last one standing) or Opportunity. In low mana battle your opponent usually will need a melee tank, so he is perfect for this situation.

Death Elemental: In a mirror Match with 14 Mana, Creeping Ooze will allow your Elemental to Snipe (Strike) 1st, giving you a huge edge since he will die instantly because of the -1 of Thaddius Brood.It is the same logic on Fire Splinter mirror Match, usually the player who strikes 1st with Serpetine Spy wins the match. In case of Fog of War rule set, it is better to pick Life Sapper!
