Happy Friday friends of the community, a cloudy day in my town and a temperature of 22°C.
Today my beautiful town has a birthday, April 8, 1843 is the date that represents the starting point of what we know today as Colonia Tovar, an agricultural and tourist community of the most important in Venezuela and Aragua state, today, my little German town celebrates 179 years since it opened its doors to the immigration of Europeans in those unpopulated lands, a cultural phenomenon that was strengthened and consolidated with the era of the oil boom a century later, the Germans of Tovar have contributed to form, Together with the citizens of neighboring South American nations present in the country, the Germans of Tovar have contributed to form one of the constituent elements of the contemporary melting pot of today's Venezuela. In Colonia Tovar, they are characterized by maintaining the cultural imprint of their origin, which is why it is called "the Germany of the Caribbean" or "The German Town of Venezuela", it is famous for its culture, mild climate and the cordiality of its people, it depends basically on agriculture, where temperate climate crops such as peaches and strawberries stand out.

179 years... wow, it's been a while!
I remember that town, I haven't been there for a long time, but even today it is a tourist destination, according to what I have heard.

That's right my friend @pedrobrito2004, tourism has dropped a lot since the beginning of the pandemic and because of the gasoline problem, but in spite of everything it is still a beautiful town to visit.

Thank you friend for sharing such important information, although I have known La Colonia Tovar for many years, I still want to go back, it is a beautiful town and from what I have seen in photos it remains the same, it is one of the favorite destinations of Venezuela...
