Ideas On How To Use Augmented Reality In Today's Pro Wrestling Environment
The above image is from a newer virtual land platform which accepts 3D object files and can be placed at very specific locations on Earth. In the above photo this is the ECW World Heavyweight Championship title belt as a 3D object placed outside the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. The exact location is on the Southeast corner of Swanson & Rittner, a few feet away from where fans used to enter the ECW Arena before the shows started.
This 3D image of the belt exists in Augmented Reality with the goal simply being to allow fans to get the link and open it up on their smart phone cameras (potentially requiring phone location to be turned on) to find the championship title belt. I still am learning how to adjust the size of the 3D object and its height off the ground, but it is my goal that pro wrestling fans who go to the old ECW Arena then can "wear" the World Heavyweight title belt by stepping behind the image. Photos and short videos should be able to be taken as you normally would with your phone's camera.
The same title belt now is in front (via augmented reality) of the Manhattan Center (the building which inside has the Hammerstein Ballroom) and the Elks Lodge on Queens Blvd in Queens, NY.

If you have any ideas on how to use this new technology in order to give more benefit to wrestling fans, the wrestlers & other talent, and even promoters of wrestling companies then you are welcome to leave a reply on this post.
