ECW's Last DVD In 2003 Before WWE Bankruptcy Court Ruling

ECW's bankruptcy ruling in 2004 favored WWE. This led to the ECW Rise & Fall DVD which, in turn, led to the 2005 ECW One Night Stand PPV event.

However, as late as 2003, ECW license agreements (unknown if official) produced "new" DVD's. These were the "ECW Hardcore Mental TV" DVDs which were tied to Delta Music PLC from the United Kingdom. Five of these "Mental" DVD's were produced.

They were compilation matches from the 1990's era of ECW. According to a few ECW fans on Twitter (X) there was no new content on them, not even new "studio" content such as a lead-in to the matches with new video content from Joey Styles, Joel Gertner, Tommy Dreamer, Paul Heyman nor anyone else - not even a new studio announcer from the U.K.

If any post-2001 last show new video content is found, other than the March 20 2001 music studio video footage on the ECW Anarchy Rockz CD (music video on that CD - showing ECW wrestlers in the music studio for the "Balls To The Wall" track), then I will add it to this blog.

According to this reference the "Hardcore Mental TV #5" DVD, the last ECW DVD released outside of WWE, was released in the UK on June 14, 2003:
