The Strategy

Analyzing the ruleset, I have Armored Up and Broken Arrows, as such monsters I need to consider are melee and magic. Looking at the active splinters - Water and Dragon, I'll most likely be battling magic monsters.

The Summoner

Since this was going to be a battle of magic elements, the obvious choice for me was Alric Stormbringer for his +1 magic.

1st Slot - Health Buffer, Kelp Initiate

Kelp is a nice in the tank position to preserve health for monsters behind it. Since I'm expecting a lot of magic attacks, I need all the buffer I can get before Djinn Oshannus gets all the hit in the tank position.

2nd Slot - Legendary Monster, Djinn Oshannus

Since this was a magic battle, I need a lot of magicpower I can have and debuf. Djinn's void and phase skills are handy in these types of battles.

3rd Slot - Blast Magic Monster - Ruler of the Seas

One of the heavy water power monsters with his blast skill and speed. I'm needed attacks to be strong and swift.

4th Slot - More Quick Water Power - Mischievous Mermaid

Chosen because of its two magic power and four speed.

5th Slot - Common Magic Monster

Another magic monster with high magic and fast speed.

6th Slot - Low Mana Scattershot Monster

Just in case I missed something, I opted to add a monster with the +2 protect.

This completed my roster.

The Battle

Round 1

Looking at the initial lineup of the opponent, I already saw the challenges I faced. First was the monster at the tank position with the void skill which reduced magic attacks it receives and the two tank heal monsters at the opponent's 5th and 6th positions.

Round 2

At the end of round one, initial monsters at tank position has been defeated and two Djinn's face each other at the tank.

Round 3

Battle seems equal, but with my Djinn disadvantaged with only 6 health left.

Round 4

Because of both parties having the same or similar monsters at the tank and second position, it didn't surprise me that it would result to a tie or both parties losing until this position.

Round 5

By the end of round four, all the opponent's magic monsters were gone, which made me conclude that choosing high firepower and speed tipped the battle in my favor.

Battle Result

Battle ended in round 5!

We get a nice boost to or ranking +33 and 0.448 SPS to add to our SPS HODL stash!
