Ignite the Track: Fire class joins the race.

Raw speed meets chaos in the blazingly hot core of Moonkarts and there is only one class that dominates the offensive meta there: the Fire Class. If water is flow, fire is force. Water where control is, Fire where carnage is. Selecting either Fire class setup is not just to win, it is about overwhelming, disrupting and burning through the track with all your angry aggression. And for many racers who love high risk high reward play, Fire is where the game starts.

From the very moment that you’re allowed into a Fire-class race you are a different kind of tense. Tracks sizzle with environmental perils; lava vents; exploding barrels; combusting traps. To build heat, racers must start from a defensive position and do offensive things, and that heat will fuel them. The smallest bump, each drift, each successful hit adds up to your Overheat Meter which is a distinct feature of this class. And when the meter is maxed out you don’t just get faster, you explode into a speed burst called Heat Surge that will blow opponents off course or chew through terrain blocks.

These include racers such as Blaze Rendrix, rogue pilot-to-racer and hard-sprinting, big gun-shoot hero with an explosive signature ability: Ignition Lock. This ability would give him the opportunity to tag his opponents when performing a drift and lock their boost for a few seconds with an ignition trail that follows his karts tail. Blaze is a moving inferno—unstable, unpredictable, and deadly—when paired with the PyroClaw D1, a fire class kart with low traction but first rate acceleration.

Fire Class is a great fit for a track such as Ashwind Canyon, or for Infernal Descent with its combustion zones for big plays and its verticals to risk your life for an air burst shortcut. Where other runners waver, Fire steps closest to the front. It is the more hazardous the terrain, the more rewards to the one who dares.
