Trying to onboard a local NFT artist from ETH to Hive

A couple of weeks ago my buddy told me about how our friends, who are the local tye dye peeps, Jammin on Vegas have a NFT artist called Jumbie; https://jumbieart.com/. He was going to have an event on the 11th of November 2021 for his NFT launch in Las Vegas. I was really interested and wanted to connect with him. Las Vegas for me has always been a disappointment socially. Lots of unconscious vain people who are some type of narcistic person. Anymore even most people can not think for themselves and demand Goberment direction. So in general I am left to being a prisoner in my own room as I refuse to participate in this broken society.

Putting my perceived issues aside and making my way to this event was a nice change of pace for me. Hopefully, I would meet like minded people! When I arrived to this event I noticed no one was wearing masks but the employees, there was NFT art on display, awesome music and even boutique tye dye clothing for sale.

I was absolutely amazed. However, after meeting Jumbie I quickly found out that the NFTs on display was just enhanced with led color frames that gave a non authentic representation of the displayed NFTs, which without external color effects, were amazing. I felt that these effects were something that needed to be included within the digital file and not artificially from an external source.

After trying to onboard Jumbie to Hive, he explained that he knew all about Hive and wanted in. There was a caveat though, he was disappointed when I explained that NFTs on Hive are not overly inflated in price like on ETH, when I responded to him saying he was pricing his NFTs for 30 grand.

Jumbie went on to tell me he was on Wax and wanted to expand beyond Wax and ETH but judging on his his radio silence and disappointment in pricing for Hive nfts, I do not expect him to contact me again, which is disappointing and leaves me retreating to my room again.

People care more about money than community it seems. I was half expecting a return call or text message about expanding his NFT market as well as inquiring about social media posting on Hive as I offered to do this for him for free. But nothing. I mean who knows maybe he will contact me weeks later most people in this town does.

The Ethereum NFT market is making the nft experience as a whole stupid. If it was not for Splinterlands I would more interested in just holding BTC which is less lucrative than SPL nfts and ETH nfts but more stable and less controversial anymore than having a bank account or trying to keep up with the jones' ETH nfts.

Overall, The NFT event was awesome! People seemed cool and was non judgmental but no one really even knew about crypto-currency much less NFTs. Most were there because Jumbie is apart of the local Grateful Dead fam scene, which is surprisingly mostly cool people. In California most Dead fam I have met and in general from '08-'19 were sjw types who were too high for the grocery store. It seems the new younger generation of non millennials are more conscious and can careless about SJW government propaganda. Too bad I am an old, out dated, bald, blue eyed, white man that is not needed in this world anymore and was canceled long ago.

So in conclusion, I will just hodl/rent my NFTs with Splinterlands and just hodl my @nftshowroom nfts until I find a community that appreciates Hive NFTs, cryptocurrency, my experience, and The Hive blockchain. Yes, I maybe the most critical of Hive as I am concerned about USA new regulations impact on Hive as a whole and the aggressive downvotes, but seems ok with recent clarifications from a new law and communities finding work arounds to downvotes. @theycallmedan, @leo and even @someeofficial have solutions to the downvote situation on Hive so it seems much is still in transition and I will hold out hope Hive nfts and the community as a whole. I have to be more patient.
