Battlefield Breakthroughs Vol. 1
Welcome to my first volume of #BattlefieldBreakthroughs for the #Splinterlands #communitychallenge this week. I'll be looking at a sampling of my favorite top battles from the last season in Modern Ranked Champion League, which I conveniently tag with #bigbrain and #topbattles on my @peakd #snaps.
If you like more of this quick-hitting battle strategy, Snaps is where to find me for daily Splinterlands battle highlights. The battlefield link takes you to the replay and the strategy link takes you to the Snap.
Battlefield Breakthrough 1 -- Craniax in Born Again
I clowned this Champion League bot with the power of Craniax and his unique (for now) ability, Final Rest, which turns off poison burst and resurrect! This one legendary unit invalidated most of their core taunt strategy and the power of my attack wiped out their team rather easily.
Battlefield Breakthrough 2 -- Razi in Low Mana vs. @gamer08
This is another known strategy with the power of Lucky Longshot leading the way for Team Gnome. This battle shows how lethal the speed of 2-mana units can be without needing to lean on any painforge business in the 13-mana battle. Their Night Stalker hits once in Round 1, but doesn't trigger execute. By Round 2, it is in the tank position and unable to touch my backline. The speed of the null attack units shines and stymies my
opponent's plans by wiping out dozens of health points before Night Stalker can wreck me from behind.
Battlefield Breakthroughs 3 -- Giving Grim Smith something to do vs. @nullfame
I enjoyed this Tofu mirror match because of the big difference in our lineups: his Grim Smith sat around doing nothing, while mine did the business with a dual attack! Despite his ploy to infect my squad with a resurrected Silverleaf Mage, I was able to sustain most of my units through four poisons with two triage and a clutch tank heal. Of course, Grim Smith cares not about getting infected and served up handfuls of damage with melee and magic attacks. My opponent thought they could outlast me, but they didn't count on Grim Smith bringing home the bacon. The Duce is loose!
I hope you enjoyed this first volume of Battlefield Beakthroughs for the Splinterlands community challenge this week. There's plenty more content just like it if you pop onto PeakD Snaps, just search up #TopBattles or see what the whole community is up to at #Splinterlands. Until next time...
