Splinterlands Diary 07.03.25 - Cursed Windeku

Greetings, brave warriors of Splinterlands! My favorite game has seen a lot of nice changes lately, and I think it's going to get even better.

I've continued to pump up my Death deck, and last week I maxed out my favorite card, Cursed Windeku. In the tank position, he's pretty darn good. Deflects melee attacks with the Thorns ability, restores life with Heal, and, the last skill Slow makes him an even more useful warrior.

Faced a very powerful opponent today - a level 6 Lobb Lowland summoner, a level 4 Katrelba Gobson gladiator, a level 8 Fungus Flinger archer, and excellent defense in the form of Earth Elemental and Thane Newsong.

A very threatening combo!

I decided to use the Maneuvers rule, which gives the second card the ability to attack the opponent's Tank, and built a sequence like this

• Harklaw on the tank position, with Demoralize and Shield abilities
• Cursed Windeku on the second one, to strengthen the attacks on the opponent's Tank,
• Silent Sha-Vi to attack the enemy's rear.
• Arachne Weaver and Life Sapper for support. The latter was more of a sacrifice to deal extra damage to the enemy with the Redemption ability.

As expected - my mages were out of the game pretty quickly, and the enemy gladiator was pumped up, and here Windeku showed himself at his best. Taking Katrelba Gobson's blows, he damaged her with Thorns and restored life with Heal, solidly defending the stalwart Harklaw from the rear.
