Splinterlands Diary 01.05.25 - Sea Monster

Greetings, brave warriors of Splinterlands! April has flown by at a fantastic speed, the game is about to undergo some big changes with a new set of cards, so I'm excited!

Sea Monster

I decided to use old cards more often in the new season and yesterday I had a few fights with Sea Monster, which has been in my deck for a few years now and has helped me out many times in fights against strong opponents.

Despite its low speed, thanks to its strong attack and ability to heal, this card behaves brilliantly in the tank position and here is a simple example.

I was facing an opponent with a level 5 summoner Franz Ruffmane, a gladiator Captain Katie and a pretty good team of mages, which did not bode well.

However, Sea Monster held his ground and Djinn Oshannus resisted the weak attacks of the mages, so in the 3rd round it was clear that victory would be on my side.

Watch the battle

I'm very happy with these wins, glad to have this classic card in my deck, and I think it will be just as good in combinations with cards from the new Conclave Arcana set.

See you on the battlefield!

Sea Monster is a great card. I currently have it at level 6, but it wasn't cheap to obtain because it was a bull market. But at level 6, it gains the Thors ability, so it can return melee damage it receives. Regards.
