A wrestler versus a UFC fighter, who would win

Hi everyone, this might ve a really controversial blog in the WOO community but I can't help but think about it.

Just imagine a faceoff between two skilled combatants in combat sports, where each possesses unique skills and tactics, which will be used to contest for dominance.

On one side is a wrestler: an embodiment of brute force and technical skills. On another side is an ultimate fighter; exceptionally adaptive and all-round skilled individual.

Thus whom do you think would emerge victorious in this epic encounter?

Here’s what I think.

They remind me of brutish strength wrestlers with grace and style. They dedicate themselves perfecting the art of takedowns, escapes, control etc.

Their insight into body mechanics allows them to dominate their adversary on the ground like none others. In my opinion, wrestlers have a major upper hand as far as grappling is concerned and are most likely going to try taking the fight down so that they can assert their authority over it accurately by dictating its pace.

On the other hand, UFC fighters are so versatile. They have had training in a variety of disciplines such as striking and grappling that makes them have all-round skills and they can excel in any context.

Their regimens of training are very strict and comprehensive including boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling among many others. In my view UFC fighters have the ability to rapidly adjust themselves in every situation exploiting their opponents’ weaknesses with guileful precision.

Therefore, I think it would boil down to the strategies applied by each fighter to determine the outcome of this fight.

The wrestler for instance would try and make use of his/her grappling abilities to control the fight slowly wearing out his or her opponent over time. On the other hand, an MMA fighter will want to keep the bout on feet where they can capitalize on their striking skills to inflict damage and earn points.

Here strategy played as big a part as talent did, with each fighter struggling for control in the ring.

Eventually, even though the two competitors possess great abilities and technical knowhow in my perception the wrestler would outdo a UFC fighter. They have mastered grappling and control which would enable them to dictate the fight.

However, I also think anything can happen under fire and ultimately each fighter’s willpower, tough spirit and adaptability would determine the final result.

To sum it all up, a wrestler taking on a UFC fighter would provide an amazing event which displays both sides. Although I may be biased towards the wrestler, it does not take away my respect for UFC fighters’ skill set; hence this makes me realize that it is only at the end of the match when you can tell who is better.

So I'm actually hoping that Roman Reigns retains his title at Wrestlemania 40 so we can have the dream match between Reigns and Conor McGregor.

Well in my opinion, it's really based on what type of match.

If it's a wrestling Match, the wrestler might win, if it's a UFC match, the UFC fight would definitely win.

Interesting post Man!
