Land Adventure - A look at Region 59 Tract 7

I haven’t posted much about my land recently as I’ve just been slowly building but an opportunity presented itself when a guild mate was looking to dispose of a keep and some land.

I am now the proud owner of the keep and eight more plots of land in region 59 tract 7, about 10% of the tract, an interesting tract as it’s 100% grain so looks like land owners in my tract will be feeding the future!

This has thrown my land plans on their head and I have pulled all my DEC from region 13 and redirected it to region 59, it’s obviously going to take a few days for cards to cooldown and be able to be re-sited so I thought I’d take a moment to look at the tract, looking at @beaker007’s great website - Land.spl-stats.com - we can look into a little more detail.

With 91% Lake we will need a large amount of water and earth element units to get the best out of our tract, I’m a long way from maxing out my current plots with DEC but I’ll have to keep my eyes out for a few deals on the market.

I need to brush up on my knowledge on the different statuses, I understand that occupied and magical currently give bonuses on SPS/research but what that means for the future and what resource’s it means for my keep I don’t know.

It looks like 98% of the plots have been active at some point in the past although currently only 44% of them are operational and I’m 10%!

There are currently 7 plots for sale ranging from $33 to $85 although I can’t see the $85 common selling anytime soon even with a “building in a box”

There are currently 24 land holders in the tract but only 5 make up more than 65% of them.

Hopefully we will see more use cases for land on the horizon and (re)activation of more of those lands will come, but in the meantime I will concentrate on getting my region 59 plots up to maximum capacity and the tax rate on my keep up to max. I do feel that land will play a bigger and bigger role in splinterlands and I want to be a part of it.

It’s going to be fun watching how the tract evolves over the coming months.
