Brawl 270 Report : Apocalypse Artisans

I have been in the Apocalypse Artisans guild since just after it began, I joined up and was gifted a couple of epic reward cards, cards that helped me progress and win some early battles and it’s the things like this that have kept me coming back to Splinterlands, a great community and great fun!

Brawls make the game even more fun, coming together with your guild mates and trying to reach the top of the pile, we have done that a few times and we have some great players in the guild, I’m not so great as the below results will show - looking back I just wonder what I was thinking in some of these brawls!

My Fray
I like to play in fray 5 - Modern Silver, we don’t have allocated frays so I have to try and get in early 😀, I managed to get in this time but didn’t have a great record and finished 13th in our guild with a record of 5w 4l 0d

Guild Result
Despite my slightly poor performance we managed to finish 4th overall, a good placing overall and walked away with 4000 merits and 36.111 staked SPS

My Matches
I got 7 battles in my fray, I managed to lose connection for 1 of them so actually only got 6 really and managed to win 3 (50%) of them, but looking back I can see some MAJOR errors on my part!

Battle 1
Won - Antoid Platoon soaks up the damage from Chaos Rear Guard while Goblano Soldier picks off the back line.

Battle 2
Lost - Walked in to a Tofu protected team and got eaten up

Battle 3
Lost - Not saying I could have won, but I gave myself 0 chance, what was I thinking Prophet Rosa and ranged attackers in a return fire ruleset???

Battle 4
Won - Bought Tofu to the battle, not sure why i put Lioceros on the back line, could have been something a bit bigger.. but giving it scavange get it some staying power in a sneak ruleset.

Battle 5
Won - I like playing this team when I can, but it was the wrong choice even though I won, 4 magic users in a magic reflect ruleset?? Luckily Commander Slade and Coastal Sentry dealt the damage

Battle 6
Lost - Tried something that I hadn't before with the armoured strike from the reach position, probably needed a bit of repair in there too.

Battle 7
FLED - Lost connection and lost by Flee.

If anyone has any advice on how to approach any of the rulesets in this brawl let me know in the comments. This is my first Brawl Report and I'm going to be doing them going forward and will be adding a few more details in the future.
