Am I Making the Right Decision on Reward Cards

image.png

Although we have no firm date on the end of Rebellion reward cards from what we have been told its probably in the next 3 months, if we assume end of September we have 5 seasons left to pick up any required reward cards. My interest was piqued by a recent article from @gadrian.

My current situation is that I have mostly silver level Archons so I only need silver level rewards (higher would be great, but would mean large investment in Archons), my regular foil deck is just about complete at that level but I thought it would be worth looking at what I’m missing at for the legendary cards and also gold foil to see what it would look like to use glint to purchase gold foil rewards to silver level instead of chest purchases as the 10% bonus in ranked and playing in Gold foil tournaments would be nice.

Common(5)12/1211/12
Rare(4)12/121/12
Epic(3)6/70/7
Legendary(2)4/12*0/12

*0 cc of Warborn Chieftain

Regular foil legendary is the real sticking point, I can pick up the missing cc for the common gold foil and epic regular foil from the market so they can be ignored, it may not be worth trying for the gold foil rare’s this late in the run of reward cards but may be something I consider next time around as the option should be available for the whole run.

First things first I suppose, how much glint do I expect to earn in the next 5 seasons?

I have been averaging about 80,000 glint at end of season so that would be approximately 160,000 glint per season.

160,000 x 5 = 800,000 glint for the next 5 seasons.

With perfect luck we would be looking at 560,000 glint to get all Legendary cards to silver (intermediate) level in regular foil. So definitely possible and even has a few hundred thousand glint to spare for duplicates, in fact get 22 chances so the odds of getting all the required cc from those 22 chances are…

Thanks ChatGPT, not looking as great as I hoped, there is always the option to burn all the excess legendary cards and all the common regular foils to get extra draws but I don’t believe that would amount to many additional draws.

For fun, lets take a look at what perfect luck looks like for gold foil versions at silver level:-

RarityMissing CCGlint
Rare Gold Foil701,050,000
Epic Gold Foil131,625,000
Legendary Gold Foil127,200,000
10,925,000

Ha, Ha, Ha... Not gonna happen.

In reality I have a silver level reward deck, do I really want to spend 560,000 - 800,000 chasing 16 cc of legendary cards? do they offer enough to the deck?

Are Gallicus getting shield, Warborn Cheiftan getting sheild, Emberguard getting deflect, Sergeant Grauzral getting blast and Syrenth getting dodge enough to go for all the silver level legendary? maybe there are some abilities that add to the deck but I don't think its quite enough, although i may be really missing something...

I think though my better option is going to be opening chests when I need energy and carrying my glint forward until the release of the next set of reward cards, if I get a few cards along the way all the better.

Is this the right approach? I don't know but I don't think chasing those legendries will be as beneficial in the long run.

Am I doing the right thing? what is a better approach?

Some Legendary are powerful, some not so much. Maybe you will benefit more from getting Epic, as you may use level 2 at Silver level, and they are quite powerful too. Cheaper also.

I'm only missing 1 BCX of Olivia for epics to silver level so hopefully I will pick that up in chests when opening for energy 🤞

Focus on Merits to upgrade your Gladiator also, if you use the GLadiator summoners.

I guess that depends what you want to accomplish. Try to level up more cards or have a stash of Glint for the next set. I haven't thought to run the chances by an AI. That might be a good idea.

I don't know if I will ever be able to push a lot of Archons to gold/diamond unless I get lucky with pulls, so I think I'm better saving the glint for a head start on the next set.

Yeah, upgrading the archons (I liked "summoners" more) to the max tier of the next league can be expensive.

just my opinion: if you plan to stay in silver league level due to archions, next set I would say use some of the seasonal glint and do some gf rarity draws, you can also do max reg foil draws and get a decent amount of gf in the common/rares to get GF silver leveled reward cards what I will consider cheaply. If memory serves me correctly its 60k glint for 300 commons and 75k glint for the 100 rares and with some luck you would have a decent jump on the gf and probably have the reg foil really quickly.

once the new rw cards are here, the unlock costs goes to 10x for the REB ones, making getting what you might want now cheaper and when it does, you will still have use of the Reb rw cards until a new set is released in like a 1.5 years. you can probably pick them up very cheaply from other players like myself, who is planning on making any single bcx cards available to anyone for just unlock costs.

I really cant see me having the funds to move upto gold Archons at the moment so it will be Silver level next set too, thinking along similar lines to what you have said, save the glint to get the regular foil commons and rares leveled up through draws and then look at where i am with GF's and go from there.

picking up the missing rebellion rewards off the market is probably my best bet for now.

It's similar for me. I also only play Archons with the Silver League level cap and I'm only missing some of the legendary reward cards on the second level. I currently only buy legendary draws from my Glint at the end of a season, but I'm not sure if I'll get all the legendary cards to the second level in the end. If necessary, depending on which card it is, I will have to buy on the market.

Certainly feels like I won’t make the legendaries, off to the market for us both then 😃
