STEPS TO LISTING AN NFT ON NFTSHOWROOM
Hi guys😇, good day! How are we all doing? I hope we're all doing great at our respective locations🥂.
Okay, so in my last two posts, I talked about GETTING WHITELISTED AS A VERIFIED ARTIST ON NFTSHOWROOM and HOW I MADE MY FIRST NFT EDITION.
So in this post, i'll be talking about the steps to take in listing an NFT on the NFTSHOWROOM marketplace i.e. after you have already become a verified artist on NFTSHOWROOM
[Check my previous posts for information regarding getting whitelisted].
I'll try to make this post as simple and explanatory as possible using layman's terms. So leggo💃
NFTSHOWROOM is a digital art marketplace built on the Hive Blockchain.
●TOKENIZING YOUR NFT
NFT simply put is non fungible token. Tokenizing your NFT is a procedure that you must undergo when listing an NFT, it is likened to a certificate of authenticity. This helps the owner to have copyright of his NFT and avoid plagiarism issues. I'll share some screenshots below on how to tokenize your NFT.
This first screeenshot is the home page of the NFTSHOWROOM marketplace, so i'll be clicking on the menu button at the top right side of the screen.
■ Clicking on it, it shows a menu of different aspects of the marketplace as you can see but we're learning how to tokenize presently so we'd click on my username (DOMINION-YUSUF) which would show your username on your own screen.
■ So now we can see the TOKENIZE button and we're going ahead to click it. Sorry i'm using the word "clicking". I'm on my laptop that's why.
■ Now explaining this screenshot, please pay attention. To tokenize an NFT with just one edition, it costs 3.333 Swap Hive (Swap Hive is the currency you spend in listing an NFT on NFTSHOWROOM. It is equivalent to Hive) but to add more editions of the same NFT, it costs an extra 0.333 Swap Hive per each added edition. You can get Swap Hive by clicking on the wallet section, there you can convert your Hive to Swap Hive.
■ Now for the next three screenshots, you'd be required to fill in the correct required details as it can't be changed after tokenizing. Check through for spelling errors when you're done filling it. Your NFT must be in either PNG,JPG or GIF format and must also not exceed 30mb for the file and 3mb for the thumbnail. PLEASE NOTE I'M TALKING WITH RESPECT TO IMAGE NFT'S.
■ Here for the rights, when you click the drop down arrow, it asks you to pick either PRIVATE or LIMITED REPRODUCTION RIGHTS.
■ PRIVATE allows the buyer the access to use the NFT for personan things only while LIMITED REPRODUCTION RIGHTS gives the buyer the access to reproduce copies of the NFT for commercial purposes.
■ COLLECTION NAME is the name of your NFT collection while TITLE is the name of that particular piece, for example, if my COLLECTION NAME is Smart Cows then the TITLE can be Smart Cow 001.
Remember you can always ask me questions in the comment section.
■ DESCRIPTION is just for you to enlighten your prospective clients about your NFT and what it portrays.
■ TAGS is just making use of popular hashtags relating to your work to broaden your reach.
■ NSFW means "not safe for work" and it warns people to use discretion when viewing post in a public or professional space.
■ NOTES is a private message automatically sent to your buyer after purchase is made. Once you are done filling and you've gone through them then you can tick the boxes and tap the ISSUE TOKEN.
Then that's it, you've tokenized your NFT and it's time to list it for sale. ASK QUESTIONS TO GAIN CLARITY PLEASE!!!!!
●LISTING THE NFT FOR SALE.
After tokenizing, your piece would be moved to the collection though it won't be available for sale yet. To sell your art, go to your gallery and click the art. Then click MANAGE, this would send the art to your cart. Then you go to your CART and then select from the options in the screenshot below.
■ BURN: If you have made a mistake when filling in the details of the post as this would burn the token so you can mint it again, but bear in mind that you'll have to pay another minting fee.
■ SELL: This allows you to set the price you want to sell your NFT for.
■ CREATE AUCTION: Here, it allows buyers bid for your artwork and you can stop the auction whenever you see a bid that you're pleased with.
■ TRANSFER: Here you can send your NFT to another account as a gift, airdrop or whatever.
AFTER SETTING THE PRICE YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR NFT FOR, YOU SELL IT AND IT AUTOMATICALLY GETS LISTED ON THE MARKET FOR VIEWERS TO SEE. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR FIRST LISTING!
