The Promised Land - BioShock Infinite

Good morning everyone, to resume my adventure inBioShock Infinite, I want to tell you that I am very grateful because lately I have seen your support in the previous posts, so this post comes loaded with new interesting data that I have come across knowing this new celestial world in which I have arrived by means of a strange machine so get comfortable because I start.

Behind this door there is a new world literally, since I was welcomed in what looked like a church or temple, but what follows is totally different from the beginning, basically a roller coaster of scenarios without a doubt. The truth is that it has been difficult for me to predict what happens in this game despite being slow paced, I enjoy it a lot, although at the end of the day that is the purpose of this story to enjoy every moment to the fullest so as not to miss details. And speaking of details I want you to remember and pay attention to the character's hands, since I see a scar mark with the letters “AD” which he already had long before arriving here, but later you will see some strange connection with this place. ![]() I pushed the doors and a flash makes me feel in heaven literally xd. ![]() This first impression of the city is incredible, and it did capture my attention, because it generates that effect of impression to see such sophisticated artifacts and grandiose floating structures in spite of having that style of ancient times. I mean, the best way for me to explain is to ask: how would it be to recreate an American city inspired by the 1912's era in a videogame, but in this context taken to the future it kept that aesthetics of the aforementioned era and I dare to say that it looks great to be honest. ![]() Something that intrigued me from minute one as soon as I crossed the door is how this city is kept afloat, so here I show you a capture of what looks like thruster engines under the buildings is impressive technology. ![]() Beyond the impressive structures I consider this city to be one of the liveliest I have ever seen in a game, as the citizens go about their lives and even though they live here they are also dazzled by the wonderful sights here, such as this lady enjoying a picnik at the foot of the statue. ![]() ![]() Other couples enjoy the nearby restaurants and locals. Now I understand why video games get you so hooked, since they make you feel in alternate worlds, freeing you from reality for a moment, and I think this video game does it well. Yes, I tell you that this bioshock represents very well what I can be, a perfect world where everyone enjoys everything peacefully, without sorrows, poverty, or social divisions, and now I understand why it gets along so well with religion, because it also represents what that promised land would be like according to biblical scriptures. Although like everything real, I consider that in this game behind that facade of perfection there is something hidden, what nobody talks about or is forbidden. ![]() Another strong point of the game is that warmth you get when you see the lighting of the city. ![]() Meanwhile, some kids were innocently playing with a pipe in the streets, so I didn't hesitate to capture that moment for you. ![]() Now walking around a bit I discover that this city is apparently called "Columbia" and indeed as I researched it is inspired in the 1912’s, and as you should expect they have some fair in the place that I will be visiting later. ![]() Looking at other posters I find these religious sayings such as “beware of the false shepherd”, something that is heard a lot in life; however, something that struck me is why the figure in a black suit representing death or something like that also has a mark just like the character in the hands marking the letters “AD”. A detail that almost escapes me, however, I consider that somehow it is linked to the protagonist I control, which opens more questions than answers, maybe I will be the one who will uncontrol the order and will be seen as that false shepherd or evil divinity, but well, I'll hurry so much, because it is only a clue without more background, hahaha... ![]() ![]() On a bench I found a “voxaphone” a strange artifact that I might need later. ![]() Speaking of voice, there was one that was captivating in the distance, so I approached what seemed to be a morning performance by one Albert Fink. ![]() “God only knows” is the name of the song, however, the videogame logically only has Spanish subtitles of the dialogues, nothing else, not the translated songs because what I don't know what the lyrics actually say (I don't know English, I only translate xd). ![]() But beyond subliminal messages, I simply enjoyed the pleasant sight of a couple dancing passionately. ![]() At the end of this show, the airship with its songs departs, and we can see it in the distance, because it will not be a goodbye, but a see you soon, just like me, because I will leave this adventure until here. Thank you for reading, leave your opinion! ![]() Requirements to play: OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64-bit ![]() |
