The Ruleset

  • Rulesets - Super Sneak
  • Mana Cap - 41
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Octavia Shadowmeld

  • With the element pick that I got I sadly did not have a large variety to choose from and as I do not have the greatest teams in light I settled for death
  • Octavia Shadowmeld was choice of poison as I really wanted to play my Gladius legendary this battle
1st Position: Xulax Nightwind

  • Xulax Nightwind was my main tanks for this battle
  • Main reason I like Xulax Nightwind here a lot is his Bloodlust and Thorns abilities
  • Even tho Xulax Nightwind costs a huge 9 mana I still played him as I also had a plan to play other lower mana costs monsters anyway
  • Void Armor - Magic attacks hit this Unit's armor before its Health
  • Bloodlust - Every time this Unit defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats
  • Thorns - Returns 2 physical damage to attacker when hit by a melee attack
2nd Position: Usut

  • Usut was my second Bloodlust monster
  • Also a high mana cost monster but two Bloodlust monster in a single team was too good do say no to
  • Flying - +25% chance to evade physical attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake
  • Bloodlust - Every time this Unit defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats
3rd Position: Corpse Fiend

  • Corpse Fiend was here just to tank a single hit when it should come to him tanking
  • The only reason I picked him was that I just had 0 mana and 1 spot open
4th Position: Revealer

  • Next up in line is one of my newer favorites
  • For only 4 mana you get a decent magic monster with an amazing Stun ability
  • Stun - 50% chance to apply Stunned for one round after a successful attack. Stunned units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate
5th Position: Ravenhood Warden

  • Ravenhood Warden is possible my favorite low mana death monster
  • Not that much because of his stats but more because of his Protect ability
  • But his stats are also not the worst for 4 mana the only thing I that he is sadly ranged monster who I usually do not really like
  • Protect - +2 armor to all allied units
6th Position: Octopider

  • Octopider was my backline tank for this battle
  • Also he has some quite amazing tank stats being 3 speed and 8 hp
  • Alongside the amazing stats is his Demoralize ability which I really liked for this battle was Super Sneak was active
  • Demoralize - -1 melee power to all enemy units

Starting board

image.png

  • After seeing the starting board I was quite on the fence about the outcome of the battle
  • My enemy had better summoner in higher level and also therefor his entire team was higher level than mine was
  • But his entire team was setup and ordered quite badly in my opinion which came me a little hope
  • But my predictions could still be off by a mile so lets start the battle and have a look

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

image.png

  • After first round the board had changed a lot
  • I had already taken down his Cursed Windeku and damaged his Undead Minotaur to 1hp
  • Meanwhile only my Octopider had taken some damage and was possible going to fall in the next round
  • But anything could still happen so lets keep watching
2nd Round

image.png

  • After 2nd Round my team was starting to fall fast too
  • I lost two of my backline monsters while I only managed to take down two of his 1hp monsters
  • But up to this point my Usut had already gotten two Bloodlust take downs
  • Lets hope for the best and keep watching
3rd & 4th Round

image.png

  • 3rd and 4th Round were super great for me
  • Now only two monsters were standing on the battleground
  • With my Usut getting another takedown I had so much more stats the battle was 100% won
  • Now I just needed to wait for the last two rounds and then face my victory
5th & 6th Round

image.png

  • It took me 2 turns to kill my enemies last standing monster
  • After his Harklaw had fallen I took the victory

Summary

  • This battle was definitely close and interesting
  • The strategy to take away from this battle is to play as many strong ability monsters as possible
  • In my case I managed to play two Bloodlust, Thorns, Stun, Protect and Demoralize
