Splinterlands Battle Of The Week: Four Bloodlust takedowns
The Ruleset

- Rulesets - Are You Not Entertained? & Close Range
- Mana Cap - 27
- Active Elements -
Here's my starting lineup
Summoner: Tarsa

- With the ruleset and element pick that I got Fire element was the first that popped into mind as the mana was low I needed some low mana Gladius monster to not lose out of Are You Not Entertained?
- So in my case I went with Tarsa as my summoner because I had great melee team in mind ready to go
1st Position: Grum Flameblade

- Grum Flameblade was one of my main tanks for this battle
- Main reason I like Grum Flameblade here a lot is his Bloodlust ability
- Bloodlust - Every time this Unit defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats
- Void Armor - Magic attacks hit this Unit's armor before its Health
- Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%
2nd Position: Uraeus

- Uraeus was my first Sneak monster for this team
- All round great monster for only 3 mana
- Sneak - Targets the enemy unit in the last position
3rd Position: Serpentine Spy

- Next up was Serpentine Spy
- Even tho his low hp of 1 was quite scary I still decided to play his as I did not have any better melee monster to play here and with Tarsas +1 hp he was going to be fine hopefully
- Opportunity - Targets the enemy unit with the least health
4th Position: Orella Abadon

- Now the main event for this team one lovely low mana Gladius monster with amazing stats
- As he has Bloodlust main thing for him was to get some takedowns quickly and then absolutely destroy the rest of the enemies team
- Sneak - Targets the enemy unit in the last position
- Bloodlust - Every time this Unit defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats
5th Position: Kobold Miner

- Kobold Miner Was my third Sneak monster in my team
- Also a super strong low mana melee monster
- Main thing for him and Uraeus was that they only damage enemy backline and let Orella Abadon take the kills so he can get his stack up
- Sneak - Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit
6th Position: Kha'zi Conjurer

- Kha'zi Conjurer was my backline tank for this battle
- Also he has amazing stats for being only 2 mana
- The downfall of this is his ability which hopefully would not destroy my team too fast
- Incendiary - At the beginning of round 2 and each following round, applies Burning. Burning has a 33% chance to spread to either adjacent unit at the beginning of each round, then all Burning units lose 2 health. Burning can be cleansed
Starting board

- Already after seeing the starting board I was the favor in this battle in my opinion
- I had higher level summoner and therefore high level team
- Also the + and - hp cancel out but I got +1 melee meanwhile my enemies -1 magic was totally pointless as I did not play any magic monster
- the only scary thing was that my enemy played Ravenhood Warden with Protect which was super great pick against my full melee team also my enemy played Dark Arborist with Demoralize which was also super effective against my almost entire team
- But my predictions could still be off by a mile so lets start the battle and have a look
Here's how the battle went
1st Round

- After first round my Orella Abadon had already gotten a Bloodlust kill which was super great
- Also his was about to get another takedown in the start of round two if he does not miss
- With only one round played everything was going great so far
- But anything could still happen so lets keep watching
2nd Round

- After 2nd Round I was 100% sure I was going to take the win in this battle as my Orella Abadon got the next takedown and was now sitting on 5 melee damage
- Once his Demoralize monster falls my whole team gets a +1 melee buff also
- Just a matter of time at this point but lets hope the end is near
3rd Round

- The 3rd round was huge for me
- I managed to take down is healer and Demoralize monster while doing that I also got another takedown with my Orella Abadon who was now at whooping 7 melee damage for only 2 mana
- Now I just needed to wait for the start of the last round and then face my victory
4th Round

- It took me 1 attack to kill my enemies last standing monster which was also my Orella Abadon attack and another takedown for him
- After his Cursed Windeku had fallen I took the victory

Summary
- This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch as you often do not see a 8 melee damage 2 mana monster on board
- Not really a strategy but no the less knowing how to play Gladius monsters could be the difference between winning for loosing the entire battle
