Interview with Moon Bash Events about the Metaverse and some of the challenges we face as virtual performing artists
Salute Hivevans!
Sharing with you my latest interview with Moon Bash events about my experience and opinion on virtual world and events from my experience and talking about some of the challenges we face as artists who do virtual performances. Happy reading!
1/ What was your first Metaverse experience?
I have been blessed to witness what is considered a ground breaking attempt to creating a virtual world back in 2000s with SecondLife, but my first personal DJ Metaverse experience was back in 2020 in @cryptovoxels early days with my homie Vandal from @DAOrecords.
2/ Where do you see the biggest potential for events in the metaverse?
As the pandemic forced the world online the scene was set & the impact was too great to ignore, it definitely paved the way to the live music experience and artists to innovate new ways to continue doing what they love, spreading the good music & vibes to their fans and ability to pay their bills.
I believe the future is going to be a merge of Meatverse & Metaverse worlds coming together, and the Metaverse in general will be a massive part of Web3.
3/ What kind of challenges do you see for Metaverse Events?
Time zones! haha one of the main issues I encounter if I am asked to do a live performance given I am based in South East Asia at the moment and … most events and clients are on US time zone, another challenge on the technical side not everyone is equipped with strong computers to enjoy the full experience of the Metaverse and some are restricted with the internet connection qualities but I believe all of this will be solved as the tech advances we are still in early days I can say it's similar to when the internet started.
