Playing Civilization Again

Hi Chris here, testing French this time. Have a couple of days off because it's Norway's national day on 17 May, so it's nice to have a few days to enjoy yourself and the weekend is here. 😊 In the previous game it was war that gave victory, but this time I want to try something different. Thinking about culture since I play French, they have some advantages there. Went on to build culture buildings and secure enough lands early in the game to be a dominant player so I avoid wars from others as much as possible. As last time, settings are tiny world and fast gameplay mode.

Took out some barbarians and lost a few units, trying to keep them alive as I'm not going to make so many but rather upgrade the good ones. French Foreign Legionnaires hehe. Next is to get some world wonders built and expanded my borders. By that I discovered more players and got gifts from Venice, maybe they look up to me hehe. The progression looks good, at the top by year 200 AD.

I have to hang on to building wonders for more culture. Explore more of the world, also increase the joy in the cities. I got a culture guy which I used to increase my border to the west. Im in Asia, you can clearly see Africa also in the mini map at the bottom right. Also need to bring up science as I'm good with gold in. And more culture was what I was going for lol. Need to focus on building out the cities and I have to get myself a fleet. Got my first boat so it's good for taking out barbarians in the water around my country.

The renaissance era has to wait. Thanks for visiting and see you in the next post. Have a great day! 😊

Hehe I know, manage to play a little now and then but not like before then I was also engrossed in it. Why did you buy the new civ if you know you can't play and get the job done? :)
