Let's play - Civilization V

Hi everyone, Chris here for a 3rd game so far in 2023. Consider testing Theme Hospital again, got it years ago for fun since we used to play the original as kids. It's kind of a strategy game like this, but of course in healthcare. Will see if I do a reunion with it one weekend. Guess I wanted to play this the most, it reminds me of the board game Risk if you know it. Just much more advanced then. Last time I played French https://ecency.com/hive-140217/@digi-me/playing-civilization-again and won on Space victory. I won the first game by war with Catherina as Russian https://ecency.com/hive-140217/@digi-me/playing-civilization-weekend and it went quickly, 3 game nights vs 8 as French. Of course when you had to research everything to be able to make the spaceship. I have no idea what to go for to win with this time, as before, playing for fun. And I don't have the patience for several weeks on the same game, so quick gameplay and tiny map. Choose to test Japanese, and a higher level of difficulty. 😃

Had a bit of a slow start, it got better after the first hour. Trying to explore and fight barbarians at the start, always thought it was the most fun at the beginning of the game and then the 20th century when you get tanks and planes.

Got me 3 cities up by year 640 BC, trying to block off as much of the land as possible for my civilization to expand on. We'll see what happens next time. Have a great day everyone! 😊
