Dcypher P2E Weekend #16/17, Deception Returns⚔

The Weekend

I skipped a week after that terrible light run, so I’ll be combining the results from week 16 and 17 in this post. As mentioned in my previous post, I retired my Aggro Order Light deck and went back to faithful Deception. For week 16, I used a slower fully focused Order Deception deck (which you can find here). And in week 17, I adjusted the deck to be a bit faster. You can see the breakdown of both weekends in the tables below. So what’s the result? I finished both weekends with 14 wins out of the 25 matches. While I was 1 win away from getting a guaranteed legendary DO pack, I’m actually quite content with the rewards for 14 wins. Just means more DO packs 😀, 5 instead of 2 (and of course the bonus +1 for winning 30 games).

Week 16 (Full Order Deception)

So quick recap of week 16. As always, Nature takes the biggest chunk of opponents. Usually a come across a few WAR opponents as well. But it’s the MAGIC gods that were an annoying surprise this time. The slow nature of my Order cards got destroyed by Magic’s targeted removals before I could do any significant face damage, only winning 1 of the 5 Magic matches.

Death, Deception and Light were just there.

Week 17 (Rush Order Deception)

So learning from the previous week, I adjusted the deck with a set of Makeshift Shiv’s and Jinxblade Duelists. I also added a set of Inconspicuous Carriage for it’s high health pool to slow down the enemy. This seems to have worked against magic opponents, however, I lost more matches against Nature. I guess there’s always a trade-off.

Pack Rewards

So for 2 weekends I received a total of 12 DO packs, and 10 Core packs. More packs equals more chances for fancy cards, although no guarantees. Luckily, I managed to pull 2 Legendary Core cards (Triumvirate Prophet and Thanakris Spell-Locusts) from the Epic packs. So I’ll take this win! Unfortunately, the DO packs didn’t give me anything shiny or not worthy to mention in this post, but at least my total collection got bigger.
