The Strength Of Double Elements: More Cards Selection Could Beat Higher Level Cards

Good Day Everyone

Welcome to my Splinterlands posts, Don't get bored yo, I always write splinterlands posts regularly because I like playing this game. It is simple but has the depth for a Trading Card Game. For today, I am sharing a shift in my mindset about recent Summoners in Rebellion Edition.

We have three summoners for each elements. However most of them have double elements, which means you could blend two elements units into your line up. Let's pick an example here, Prunda Undervesch from water-light elements.

I pick this card not by random, because I want to showcase a battle which I won by using her. It is not like she is better than the rest, it is just by coincidence my win came from her.

Ok back to the main topic, initially I see this is a good summoner because for a 3 mana summoner with no skill or buff, I think it is still ok. My thought that time was about economical issue, which I get a summoner but I could use her on two elements. That means I do not have to get two summoners, and this is a great cost saving.

As the time progresses, I have accumulated many battles and my perception has changed. I think there some advantages in using double elements, for exsample having opportunity to select vast various units will increase element of surprise.

In this post, I will show you another one, it is about tackling out a ruleset. Ok let's get to the battle to show case this topic.

HIGHLIGHTED BATTLE

I pick this battle, this is a brawl battle. I play on fray 24, which is max leveled Gold Foil fray. I do not have max level units nor summoners, so evert Brawl my role is about how I could snatch one to three wins from overpowered oppononts.

In this battle, there is a ruleset that limit units selection. It is HEAVY METAL, which all non-armored units are forbid to participate in the battle. In this ruleset, your selection will be awkward, I bet many feel the same their core units for certain meta are not available.

I do not know about the others, but for me during this ruleset I lose all my support units. This is where double elements summoner play greater part. They allow us to use two elements units, similar to dragons however... There are not many Dragons cards out there. So it means two elements summoner has the advantages over Dragons Summoner.

I use Prunda Undervesh to mix Water and Life Element. As you can see part of my formation are similar to theirs. I use Chaos Kinght and Sunkai Harvester. However the different lays in the backline. Let see how this will go

  • The battle starts with both side buffing their team and debuffing their opponent. They come with my favorite summoners, Lorsa... and they have a lot better leveled cards. This should be a lose for my side, but double elements might change this tide.
  • They come with 8 melee damage, 3 range damage and 1 magic damage. Combined all they become 11 damage per round.
  • My team have 8 melee damage and 3 range damage. so my total damage per round is one point lesser than them, we still can say both of us have equal fire power.
  • I feel awkward with these line up. The concept between us are the same. We use the same two tanks in front, we use a range units with repair ability and one melee units to attack backline. Both of us have one bait behind too lol.

  • Round two starts with pretty much similar condition with the first round. It looks like both of us take a defensive approach, we do not go all out attack.
  • I lose my bait in this round

  • Round 3 started with one unit advantage in their side. However this does not last long, my team starts to make a come back move here, killing two of their units.

  • Rpund 4 starts with 4 vs 5, I have a unit advantage right now. Yes our team manages to turn the table around.

  • It is a slow progress because basically this is a battle between Ducmakle Exile vs Isgalt Vorst. However in this round my Chaos Knight makes a kill, so I get another advantage here.

  • The gap is built up, now 2 vs 4. I think my team has got this battle.

  • Like I have said before, it is a slow progress regarding none of us comes with a heavy attacking force

  • I cut it here. I see no more chance they could come back. I have secured my win, Good Game

That's a slow and long battle anyway, so I make this short now. Overall their team is stronger, if I come with a pure life element only or Water Element only, I believe I will get wiped out by that Lorna team.

It can be said that my team is actually Life Element with Isgald Vorst replacing the Dumacke Exile, and that Gladiator or Gladius unit is the one that make the difference in this battle.

This can happen because I use double elements summoner. So they are not only a way to get cheaper summoners in term of lower purchase or rent, but they provide certain benefit or advantage during this ruleset.

Or maybe these new rulesets are created to add more value in using these double elements summoners... What do you think? please feel free to leave any opinions feedback in the commnets section below.

And That's my Splinterlands post today, thanks for reading my post and see you in Splinterlands Battles!!
