Greeting Splinterlands Summoners

It's been a week since my last Splinterlands post. I am bit confused which topic should I pick for this week posts, I am not in right mind of playing Splinterlands due to heavy workloads.

I haven't got enough time to play Splinterlands in the last few days, however I am very lucky that during that day my battles are good. So I think I have something I could share you today.

You see, the title of this post is the battle of the QUEENS, and the title in the thumb pic is QUEENS of the ages. In the past we have two ladies, I think we rarely call them queens, but these ladies were the strongest.

Maybe they were not the strongest, but they were favorite due to their strength. Let see them here:

Quora Towershead.. There were days that old players believed she was the strongest of all. Her abilities were too good, and during those days, especially for guild brawl, you needed to show the guild that you had this card, else top guild would not accept you LoL!

It sounds like some exaggerations, but it is what it was. During those days, we did not even have Chaos Legion set yet, so having Quora in the battle field was like a guarantee of winning. Even some battles turned to be the battle of Quora.

Nowadays it is different. There are many cards we can set to make better meta than having her in the team. Still, she is considered one of the strongest until today, although it is debatable.

Captain Katie... She was my favorite and even until today she is still my favorite. I believe she isn't near to a strength that put her to be considered the strongest. She is not the Queen, yes on that part I can agree, but she is still a queen from my point of view because she has something that some cards have but not as good as her.

4 Magic damage with a snipe ability. This is lethal regarding many players do not expect to defend against this kind of attack. Well to be precisely, if you are anticipating her, mostlikely your line up would be vulnerable against frontal attacks.

So people are less likely to defend against any unit like this, not limited to Captain Katie alone. But that's the special thing about her, your opponent won't anticipate her.

These females were the strongest on their time, and still they are very strong today even there are many strong new cards.

HIGHLIGHTED BATTLE

It will not a good Splinterlands post if we don't employ in a battle, right?

So this is the battle. Some of you might think that it is a bit uneven regarding it is a battle of 4 against 6. Well that is not like that, you can check my line up is populated by small units.

Another consideration is that they have Quora Towershead. In most battle, Quora Towershead team usually come with not a full line up, regarding the team will use meta centered on Quora.

How about Captain Katie? You can check my line up and that is a typical Captain Katie Team. The team will be defensive focused, and specifically defending the Captain Katie. With her big magic damage and snipe ability, she could take down her prey by herself, so the team usually holds defensive meta to guard her.

Ok let's see how this battle shows their strength.

Let see the second round. Nobody has died up to this round, and eventhough you see Quora Towershead is wounded, she won't die too. With her healing ability and Satha Toledo tank heal ability, Quora will replenish 6 health point per round. It is just hard to kill her.

My Captain Katie kills their Rune Arcanist in this round. She gets powered up from the bloodlust ability.

The round three starts with 3 vs 6 condition, even my team is doubling the number of their team, it is not something that guaranteed one to win. My Captain Katie makes a killing again in this round, and gets more powerful from the bloodlust.

Round fourth starts and the situation becomes bad for them. my team number has tripled their number.

Round five should be an easy one, regarding it is 1 vs 5 condition. However we are having a Quora Towershead as our opponent here.

Round sixth is the last one. I am lucky my Captain Katie moves first and settles the battle. Good game

This battle is all about those two, the Queens of the ages...

It is not about which one is stronger, personally I will pick Quora Towershead who is stronger than Captain Katie. However I pick Captain Katie here because my selection gives be better meta with Captain Katie and the biggest consideration is the 31 mana cap for this battle.

In the last even it was 1 vs 4 and the four of my team members beat Quora Towershead, the fact is that if Quora Towershead manages to kill my Captain Katie first, I would have lost this battle. If in that round, my Captain Katie fails to get 6 speed, it will make Quora moves first and I would end up losing thit battle.

So the gap between us here is not as big as we see at a glance. It is that 1 speed gap that settles everything.

My opponent is not weak either. He puts poison to my Captain Katie from the starts, that is one of Underboss Fabino ability. It is just that Katie survives the revolving poison damage because of her position behind.
