Pre-Planning My Life Element Team With Conclave Arcana

Hello My Fellow Splinterlands Summoners

Here I come with my Splinterlands post again. Today is the last day of the Conclave Arcana presale, and the fact is that before I finish this post, the presale would have finished.

We will have Conclave Arcana edition fully released after 48 hours, exactly the same timing as we have the general sale launched. So what can we do know? The first thing is to see, learn and plan what we could do with the cards.

I can not wait to have Taylor Swift on my squad LoL, well honestly I am not a swifties. Taye is one formidable small mana card, seriously his damage, speed and abilities are something we need to count in.

However I do not think that we can analyze and weighting new cards based on our current meta and perception. There are many new abilities, the edition for modern will no longer employ Chaos Legion. Many factors are needed to be counted, so is Taye a great unit later? We will see, but I think she will.

The Life Element

I am a fan of Life Element starting from the first day I played Splinterlands. That time Chaos Legion was not released. From Untamed, Chaos Legion and Rebellion, Life Element is always my favorite element.

I do not know how and why, it is not about the white color or the the name, it is just that the units fit well with my taste. So right now we are going to have the life element of Conclave Arcana... and here I saw in official discord

At a glance, I like these selection. They are pretty much stronger, or I think they will be better than previous edition. In this Conclave Arcana set, Life Element has one units with heal ability, two units with tank heal, and one unit with triage. Healing should be not a problem anymore. The only lacking here is that there is none with repair ability.

One notable trait I see in these selection is that the debuff. We have 3 life element units with enfeeble ability, which reduce 1 melee damage for a target for each landed attacks. So overall I get this glimpse that life element will be an anti melee team.

we can see life summoner, or we call them Arcana now, have that shield ability. This strengthen my initial perception that life will be an anti melee team. Opponent gets enfeebled then they can not land any melee damage due to those shield ability.

It is very interesting, will it be great? Will I feel enjoy with the new life team? Who knows, but I am exciting to see how this will be going later

Interesting Units

Although we haven't known well yet how things will go, it picks my interest to study some of these cards. It is not like I do not see and learn other elements, but for now I will focus on this life first.

There are some cards that really pick my interest, some are great and some leave a big question for me. Let see 4 of them here, and I will let the rest talk later in battles.

Caravan Guard is a card that I will get as soon as possible. He is excellent, based on previous meta. I am not seeing him as a max level unit, but more like on this 5 to 8 levels, the gold league level.

He will have triage and headwinds, so he is a good anti range unit, and he will keep his backline team mates alive. The only problem I see on him is his ability to attack... He is slow and have 1 range damage, remember I do not see him at the max level.

Having him in my brawl battles should be a great one.

Owlkin Geodesist is an interesting mage, he has enfeeble ability. So he will keep opponent main tank gets deduction in melee damage. Execute ability is a good ability too, he will eliminate the remaining health point in the same turn.

Again, same as Caravan Guard, speed will be the issue here. His magic damage is not great too, but not bad lah with the help of Execute ability. This is a card that I eager to get as soon as possible.

Happy Quokka... the art seems not like a serious one, why we should employ some hamster in our line up lol. Honestly I think this is a dangerous card, because he has everything... decent melee damage, decent health point and a bit slow speed.

One thing that bothers me with this card is his weapon training ability. Weapon training is a great ability however I do not fond of it especially when the attack type is melee. Maybe during melee mayhem ruleset, it will be a great one.

However you need to remember that there isn't any non attacking units in this Conclave Arcana life element. So we will have to get one from another elements or from Rebellion edition.

The last I will mention here, and unfortunately she is one of the least... is Leolin Sifu. This is a good card, good melee damage, high armor and good health point. She will be a good tank.

The problem is that I can not see how I could exploit this card. In the end I would only use her when I have melee mayhem or super sneak, or equal opportunity in the ruleset. I can not say she is bad, but this is one of the type that I could not exploit or utilize properly.
