Good evening everyone.

This is not Splinterlands regular share your battle Challenge or Battle Mage Secrets. This is my brawl log, review, report... or whatever we want to call it. I do not make this one on every brawl or at the end of each brawl, but more on certain situation only.

In this brawl, I joined the Gold League Gold Foil. Fray 19, the fray which had been empty for some rounds in my brawl. It's not because I had a good line up for gold league GF, but its more to be able to house in more players in, so I decided I would upgrade my line up bit by bit here.

As I always say in my splinterlands post, I am a casual player here. So I do not like spend some money just to win some battles. But improving my deck might be a good dynamic for me, in order to prevent me getting bored then leave the game

Well I like the result, 6 battles and I won 3 of them. Not a great result but considering I did not have gold level GF, this is indeed a good result.

I realized from this round that I had a couple of loses due to the level gap. It's hard to combat gold league GF players using Bronze cap and Silver cap units.

My team came out as the third place, It's a bit painful because the gap with the second one was only 3 wins. I could not complain because I lost to the first and second position too, so part of the gap came from my performance.

I would get a new Gold Foil card next week, which one it will be... of course it will be a secret. I need to improve my deck so I could perform better next week.

HIGHLIGHTED BATTLE

If there is a battle I could showcase here from that brawl, it will be this battle. A battle against @MangoMayhems from TeamPH.

Both of us were using a level 3 summoners however my summoner was a rare units. So I did not have a gold league level, in fact it's a half silver cap level. I came with 4 units while Mr. Mango there came with 6 units.

In general we can say Mr Mango team came with higher level and more units. I should have lost this battle, however everything ended up as the opposite.

At the beginning of the third round, we could see that somehow the situation had changed a lot. It had become 3 vs 3 and my units seemed to be stronger than them.

The battle ended on the 7th round. somehow it had become one sided which my tank the Flesh Golem was still unharmed in this battle.

WHY I WON THIS BATTLE

The key winning point in this battle is simple, it's BETROL GOBSON

Look at my Gobson stats above, it's a god damn powerhouse. However the real key behind Gobson was building up a good meta to exploit ruleset, and that meta stated by Mylor.

Up to eleven and Born Again was a good combination to build up small or backline unit with mylor. First the thorn damage was amplified, this became incompatible with their meta which relied on melee damage. Second my bloodlust units, Betrol Gobson would get multiple feed here because the unit he killed would get revived and he could killed them again.

But the real hack here was the bloodlust activated from killing the unit using thorn damage. So My Gobson here getting bloodlust buffed multiple times even he did not hit anyone.

That's a good battle for me, my opponent lost due to that hack even he had built a great line up there.
