Exploiting Armor-Repair During Lost Magic Ruleset

Greeting everyone

Welcome to my Splinterlands posts, I just posted a splinterlands post yesterday and here I post the second one. It is a custom for me to post a couple of Splinterlands posts everyweek. This game is amazing, I like it and that's why I am never bored to share my splinterlands experience.

Today post is related with the previous one, It is about Chimney Wallstop. Recently I have reached level 5 Chimney Wallstop and his repair ability has opened up some new meta I can set for my team

However I will try to share here, why his repair ability could open up a new meta. There are other units who have repair ability, why should be him that could make a game changer?

Ok let's get to the battle so we can talk more proper there with a concrete case.

HIGHLIGHTED BATTLE

I pick this battle, due to it's ruleset. here are the rulesets:

I see there is a Lost Magic ruleset, under this ruleset we expect no magic units can be deployed. This means all attack, whether it is melee or it is range, both need to break armor first.

Under this condition, I believe the one who manage to exploit armor and repair will prevail as the winner. And this is exactly where Chimney Wallstop will become powerful.

Another consideration is that we have 45 mana cap here. This suffice any team to employ Chimney Wallstop and you still have plenty left to build up the team.

Before we go, I have said before this is exploiting armor and repair ability, so we can not just expect Chimney Wallstop to work alone. Here are other cards that will greatly play their part in exploiting armor-repair meta

Eternan Brune will be my perfect summoner, he has that -2 armor reduction for my opponent. I do not want to brag about exploiting armor usage then having myself beaten because my opponent outsmart me in exploiting armor. So better I negate their armor first!

Arkemis The Bear is a good choice too. This bear has a protect ability, which add +2 armor to all units. Even the armor will be depleted later, protect ability will add the volume of maximum armor our unit can have, which this could make the repair ability works better.

I am talking about exploiting armor and repair right? I could not have my team only have one repair ability unit. So I will add this Scavo Hireling as my second repairman. Together with Chimney Wallstop, this weakling could become an annoying support for my opponent.

so let see how this will go..

  • The battle starts with both side buffing their team and debuffing their opponent. I am glad both of us coming with different element, atleast this won't be a dull one.
  • They come with 9 melee damage and 5 range damage. Combined all they become 14 melee damage. I am not counting that bait unit, Venari Marksrat in front.
  • My team had 15 melee damage and 1 range damage. So we have 15 combined damage per round. Overall our firepower are on equal, we hit as hard as our opponent.
  • Seeing this condition, I think I already secure my win here. They try to get advantage here by having a protect ability card, while I am already exploiting armor with buff debuff and a couple of repair ability cards.

  • I win the first round, my team manage to kill one of their unit, the ravenhood warden.
  • Due to reverse speed ruleset, their Venari Marksrat evaded an attack which made him lasts longer. Actually this is bad for them, the martyr ability hasn't been triggered.
  • This round is a total mess for my opponent. They lost two of their main unit, Silent Shavi and Dhampir Stalker. Their Silent Sha-vi died from my Tokatag Conscript thorn ability, I recall I have made a post about her a few weeks ago.

  • Round three starts with this bad condition for them. I do not need to tell anything here, we already know this is the end.

  • They manage to last until round 4. Good game

Armor and Repair Could Negate Damage

I will try to make this simple:

At the end of the battle, my team looks very solid. If you are looking on this condition only, you will think my opponent is bad. Well that's not completely wrong, if he is good he will beat me for sure lol.

But the point is that my two repairmen were manage to keep the armor replenished every round, this leads to a condition that they are unable to kill any of my units.

Damage wise, they hit with same damage with me. However due to the armor keep coming back, They manage only to injure my Arkemis The Bear. They hits my Tokatag Conscript a couple times, and look at her.. She has no wound at all, her health point is at peak.

So the difference that makes my team look superior is actually due to these two repairmen. Ok That's all for today post, if you have different opinion, do drop a comment below and Thanks for reading my post and see you in Splinterlands Battles!!
