Public Minting is live for the next 24 hours!

I got interested in Rare Ghost Club a little bit back when I heard about them from @daltono and their new NFTs launched to the public last night and minting is live for another 24 hours, or until they sell out.

So what is the Rare Ghost Club (RGC)? It is an NFT project that was inspired by the Pink Dolphin clothing brand. Holding a Rare Ghost NFT is your membership into the Rare Ghost Club.

There roadmap here shows a glimpse of the cool things that they have in store for those that hold the NFTs. Some of the things that you will get for holding a ghost is custom chains by NYC Luxury, 3D prints of your ghost collection, additional airdrops, ways for you to play with your ghosts in a metaverse game they are developing, exclusive events for members and other awesome benefits of holding ghosts.

There will only be 10,000 Ghosts that will be available to be minted, and all ghosts that aren't minted by the end of presale will be burned. There are 8 Ultra Rare Ghosts and 1 Legendary Ghost that will be revealed once the public sale is completed.

Right now the ghost's identities are hidden until the sale is over, but once the sale ends, the sheets will come off and reveal who has the Ultra Rare and Legendary Ghosts, and what your ghosts look like.

There are some pretty cool designs for the ghosts. These guys are some of the same ones that have been working on the popular Sup Ducks collection that is trading for a minimum of 2 ETH over on Opensea.

They hype is real with these Ghosts as well. Some big names have been purchasing them and the RGC team even had a promotion in Times Square in New York to promote the launch.

Marshmello snatched up 2 of them so far. Along with other big names like Dillon Francis getting a few of them as well. These team knows how to market and has been around for a while.

So far I have 9 of them. Gas fees on ETH are ridiculous and makes it harder to mint a lot of them because it can get pretty expensive at around $400 or so each, plus gas fees of $120+. We have been pretty spoiled here on Hive when it comes to transaction costs and minting of NFTs, but we do not have anywhere near the amount of development and support that the Ethereum chain has.

This was my first experience minting any sort of NFT on any chain other than Hive and it was fairly simple and there are so many different tools to track your transactions and it is actually a very indepth chain. Hopefully one day we see this kind of excitement and support for Hive because the possibilities are almost endless because of how our chain operates as compared to the other chains. Hive kills all of these other chains when it comes to transactions per second and fees.

None of this is financial advice and it is hard to measure the value of this project compared to any of the others out there. The NFT world is going crazy and one of the only things that I feel will make NFTs valuable is their real world utility, and that is something that I think the RGC team is really taking into consideration. They appear to have a very solid road map, awesome marketing strategy and a massive community.

I am in talks with some of their team and trying to explain to them how Hive works and the benefits of bringing their community over here. Their discord server alone has grown to over 30k members in a very short time, so to be able to bring that many crypto minded people over to Hive would be pretty amazing.

I am hoping to get at least one more Ghost before the sale ends, and that will bring my Ghost total to 10. This chain above is going to be awarded to the winner of the Legendary Ghost and it was crafted by NYC Luxury.

With Facebook announcing their plans to begin creating the Metaverse, I think that NFTs will continue to explode and interest in crypto currency will begin to sky rocket. The future with crypto is extremely bright and I am excited to be a part of it.
