Summoner's Spellbook Guide in Splinterlands
The Summoner's Spellbook is an essential upgrade in Splinterlands that allows players to unlock all of the game's features and earn rewards. This upgrade is mandatory for players who wish to fully access the game. Purchasing the Spellbook costs a one-time fee of $10.
Before Purchasing the Summoner's Spellbook
Splinterlands allows players to try out the game for free, learn the basic mechanics, and begin collecting cards. However, players who do not purchase the Spellbook will face significant limitations to the game's features:
No Battle Rewards: Players without a Spellbook will not be able to earn SPS (Splintershards) or Glint by participating in battles.
No Access to Tournaments: Only players with a Spellbook can participate in tournaments or create their own tournaments within the Splinterlands interface.
No Market Transactions: Players without a Spellbook do not have a valid Hive account and therefore cannot buy or sell cards or packs on the market. Even if they already have a Hive account, they must purchase the Spellbook to transact on the in-game market.
No Access to Guilds: Players without a Spellbook will not be able to join existing guilds or create their own guilds.
Locked Assets: Players without a Spellbook will not be able to hold or transfer in-game assets such as cards or tokens
How to Buy the Summoner's Spellbook
The Spellbook can be purchased using the following methods:
- Paypal or other accepted payment options.
- Cryptocurrencies: Splinterlands accepts up to 8 different cryptocurrencies.
- Promotional Codes: In this case, the in-game credits included in the standard purchase will not be awarded.
Additional Benefits:
Purchasing the Spellbook grants players 3,000 credits that can be used in the in-game store or to buy and rent cards in the market. It should be noted that these credits are not awarded if the Spellbook is purchased using a promotional code.
After Purchasing the Summoner's Spellbook
Once the purchase is complete, a unique account on the Hive blockchain is created for the player. From that point on, all of the game's functionalities are unlocked, including:
Market Access: Players will be able to buy and sell packs, cards, and lands in the in-game market.
Earning Rewards: SPS and Glint can be earned in battles and Glint can be received as a seasonal reward if the player has a rating of 260 points or more.
Access to Blockchain Transactions: Players will be able to make transactions on the Hive blockchain using their new Splinterlands account.
Asset Transfer: Players will be able to transfer assets in and out of the game, such as cards and tokens.
Access to Tournaments and Guilds: Players will be able to create or join both tournaments and guilds within Splinterlands.
Finally, the acquired Spellbook will appear in the Other Items section of the game. This is a unique, non-transferable asset that will be permanently tied to the player's account.
Hive Account Creation
Splinterlands covers the cost of account creation on the Hive blockchain, and provides enough resource credits for players to start playing and enjoy all the game's functionalities efficiently.
