Burning Cards and Card Stats
Burning Card System in Splinterlands
In Splinterlands, the process of burning cards involves permanently destroying a card in exchange for rewards in DEC, GLINT, or MERITS, depending on the type of card. These rewards vary depending on whether the card is Tradable or Soulbound.
Types of Cards and Tokens to Burn
Tradable Cards:
- Can be sold, rented, transferred, or burned for DEC.

- Obtainable in card packs or on the market.
Soulbound Cards:
Can only be burned for GLINT or MERITS.
Obtainable in reward chests, the GWEN'S GLINT store, and the GUILD STORE.

Burn Values and Factors
Each card has a burn value based on:
- BCX Level
- Rarity
- Set
- Foil
- Card Level: Burning max level cards grants an additional 5% bonus.

DEC: Only obtained by burning transferable cards, and the value is based on the card's collection power.
GLINT: For reward soulbound cards, multiply the card's power by 5 to calculate its GLINT value.

MERITS: Only obtained by burning Gladiator cards, found in Gladius Chests.

Card Attributes and Stats in Combat
Health: Determines a unit's resistance to damage.

Speed: Affects attack order and hit probability.

Attack: Classified into:
- Melee: Only attacks in first position.

- Range: Can attack in positions other than first (unless specific conditions are met).

- Magic: Attacks from any position and can bypass armor.

Armor: Protects units from melee and ranged attacks, until depleted.

Abilities: Provide unique bonuses and effects, such as attribute increases and debuffs for enemies.

Mana Cost: Each card has a mana value required to include it in the team, limiting the eligible cards for each battle.

Strategy and Team Selection
Each battle has a mana limit, and players must choose their cards based on this limit to maximize the effectiveness of their team and adapt to the combat conditions.
