Swamp Spitter | SPT W-352 | Splinterlands Art Contest, Digital Art

Hello, how are you all hive friends?

Hopefully all hive friends are fine, and always given blessings in this life ๐Ÿ˜Š

This is the 127th post since I joined the weekly art contest held by @Splinterlands.

Here I draw the Swamp Spitter character from the Splinterlands Swamp Spitter card game.

I chose this character because I happen to like ninja turtles, and this character is very similar to ninja turtles with a few minor differences such as the front scarf that covers the character's vital parts and a stick that is very different from the ninja turtle's weapon, also don't forget the samurai hat in ancient times which is a bit torn at the front gives its own impression too.

I made this fanart illustration with a slightly foggy starry night background in the middle of a pine forest, which looks like Swamp Spitter is preparing to face the enemy.

And I'm quite happy to participate and draw Splinterlands characters to practice my illustration drawing skills.

But overall it's always fun to make Splinterlands fanart, because there are so many characters that can be made into fanart๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜.

For coloring, using a full-color American comic style with a little semi-realism.

To create this character, I used Gpen thick and thin line art.

This time I don't have a target, because participating in the @splinterlands character drawing competition is already really cool in my opinion.

And congratulations to the top 3 winners and other winners ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฅณ

Also thank you to my friends in the Hive community, curators, and other artists who have always supported me in my work so far.

I made this work in 6.5 hours with 2.5 hours of line sketching and 4 hours of coloring and effects.

Steps from sketch to line art using Gpen with slightly changed parameters in Clip Studio Paint:

The coloring process and also the creation of shadows and lighting using Airbrush and watercolor brushes with slightly changed parameters as well as several layer modes from glow dodge, add, overlay to multiply:
