Another Hive Power-Up Day Has Come and Gone. I Joined; Did You?
It's Hive Power-Up Day! I powered up; did you?
Hosted by @hivebuzz and @arcange, Hive-Power Up Day (HPID) has been with us for awhile. I try to never miss it. It's a great way to show support for this platform. Hive Power Up Day uses UTC time, so I believe it ended 10 minutes ago as of this posting (which will be 9am JST / 8pm EST). Hope all of you entered!
If you have at least 10 Hive that you can power-up, you will get a badge from doing so. But more than that, you will increase your voting power and your stake in this platform. I've been here for over 4 and a half years now. I believe in this platform. If you are here reading this, I might imagine you believe in it too.
I only powering-up 10 Hive. But that leads to a funny story. Last night I went to Bittrex and bought 200 Hive. I bought it doing the instant purchase option. That always goes through really smooth. I use my US bank and it deducts the money and gives me my Hive pretty much instantly.
All good so far!
But then I went to withdraw my Hive only to see that withdrawals were terporarily disabled. D'oh! Bittrex does this from time to time, so it's not anything to worry about, but the timing is annoying.
This morning I was hoping that withdrawals would be up again so I could quickly transfer it over and power-up before the deadline, but no... still down. So I quickly moved 10 Hive from Hive Engine and used that to power-up. I'll move the 200 over and power it up as soon as Bittrex lets me do so.
So my plans were foiled a bit, but oh well, I still joined the day. I hope you did too! (But if you missed it, don't worry: there's always next month)

Thanks for the comment. I will indeed again be joining the day. Seems like Bittrex still isn't allowing Hive withdrawals (grrr) but I have enough swap.hive on hand to buy enough LEO for the event.
