Halfshell Seer Decorative Pendant in 2D Quilling Technique [Eng/Esp]

Today I am with you again to show you my art, I love every week to go through this wonderful world of magic, color, and lots of Splinterlands characters to look for new elements or characters to build different crafts such as jewelry, accessories, 3D figures and other things that motivate me, inspire me and activate my creativity and thus be able to create for you.

Today, I'm joining the Splinterlands Art Contest. A few days ago, I worked on the beautiful and striking card from the game called Halfshell Seer, in which I materialized the weapon of war she carries in her hands in the form of a decorative figure. Because the card has so many eye-catching and beautiful elements, I bring you a new work of art inspired by the same card. This time, I wanted to make a decorative 2D pendant inspired by the butterflies that decorate the card, using the quilling technique.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

Hoy estoy con ustedes nuevamente para mostrarles mi arte, me encanta semana a semana pasar por ese maravilloso mundo de magia, color, y muchísimos personajes de Splinterlands para buscar nuevos elementos o personajes para construir diversas manualidades bien sean bisutería, accesorios, figuras en 3D entre otras cosas que me motiven, inspiren y activen mi creatividad y de esa manera poder crear para ustedes.

Para hoy me uno al Splinterlands Art Contest. Hace unos días trabajé la hermosa y llamativa carta del juego llamada Halfshell Seer, en la cual materialicé el arma de guerra que lleva en sus manos en forma de una figura decorativa. Debido a que la carta tiene muchísimos elementos llamativos y muy hermosos, les traigo un nuevo trabajo de arte inspirada en la misma carta, esta vez quise realizar un colgante decorativo en 2D inspirado en las mariposas que decoran la carta, en la técnica de quilling.

• Start by taking a 4mm wide light blue quilling strip and joining it with another 4mm wide dark blue strip to form a single strip. Roll it up with the needle, starting with the light blue and ending with the dark blue. Remove it from the needle, loosen it slightly, and seal it with extra-strong white glue to form an open circle. You will need two identical circles.

• Using the same parameters as above, make two smaller open circles with tape of the same colors and width.

• Comenzamos tomando cinta para quilling de 4mm de ancho color azul claro vamos a unir con otra color azul oscuro también de 4mm de ancho para formar una sola cinta, enrollamos con la aguja empezando por la azul claro hasta terminar con la azul oscuro, sacamos de la aguja, soltamos un poco y sellamos con pega blanca extra fuerte para obtener un círculo abierto. Necesitaremos 2 círculos iguales.

• Bajo los mismos parámetros anteriores realizaremos 2 círculos abiertos más pequeños con cinta de los mismos colores y del mismo ancho.

• We are going to shape the open circles to form the butterfly's wings. The larger ones will be shaped like elongated triangles with a point at the top. The smaller ones will be shaped like rounded triangles.

• We will join them in groups of 2, then finish by joining the two groups together to form the butterfly.

• I applied pearl-colored paint to some parts of the butterfly's wings. Let them dry thoroughly.

• Vamos a moldear los círculos abiertos para formar las alas de la mariposa. Los más grandes serán en forma de unos triángulos alargados con un pico en la parte de arriba. Los más pequeños en forma de triángulos redondeados.

• Uniremos en grupos de 2, luego terminamos uniendo los dos grupos así ya tendremos formada la mariposa.

• Apliqué pintura color perlada en algunos puntos de las alas de la mariposa. Dejamos secar muy bien.

• To make the antennae and body, start by taking a piece of wire. Place a black Czech crystal in the middle to form the head. Use pliers to shape the antennae. then I took a piece of transparent nylon and placed two black crystals on it. I inserted the tip of the nylon into the crystal attached to the antenna and tied it. In this way, I formed the antennae, head, and body of the butterfly.

• I glued the small piece with extra-strong white glue and, to make sure it didn't come off the wings, I tied some pieces of nylon that I had left over.

• I placed a large jewelry ring on one of the wings.

• I applied several layers of extra-strong white glue to the back of the piece to laminate and protect it.

• Finally, I attached the pendant of my choice.

And so, we have finished this decorative 2D pendant that I made, inspired by the butterflies worn by the beautiful character from the card “Halfshell Seer”.

• Para realizar las antenas y el cuerpo comenzaremos tomando un trozo de alambre, en el medio coloqué un cristal checo de color negro que será la cabeza, con una pinza moldee las antenas, luego tomé un trozo de naylon transparente en el cual coloqué dos cristales negros, introduje la punta del naylon en el cristal que está unido a la antena y amarre, de esta manera forme antenas, cabeza y cuerpo de la mariposa.

• Con pega blanca extra fuerte pegué la pequeña pieza y para asegurarme que no se despegue de las alas amarre unos trozos de naylon que deje sobrantes.

• Coloqué en una de las alas una argolla grande de bisutería.

• Apliqué varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte en la parte de atrás de la pieza para plastificarla y protegerla.

• Para finalizar coloque el colgante de mi preferencia.

De esta manera tenemos listo este colgante decorativo en 2D que elabore, inspirada en las mariposas que lleva la hermosa personaje de la carta "Halfshell Seer".
