Winter Wonder Switzerland

My sister is deeply passionate about sharing her travel experiences throughout Europe. Even with my encouragement—and occasionally my insistence—she remains committed to maintaining her YouTube channel. I am sharing her stories in Hive on her behalf.

I don't have firsthand winter experiences, but my sister does, as she and her family are currently living in Switzerland. I would like to share her stories in line with the #winterchallenge from the Worldmappin community. I'm not sure if this post qualifies as an entry.

I'm just excited to share my sister's journey through Switzerland as she drives around to show us the magnificent beauty of the country.

Swiss Winter Adventure

Welcome to beautiful Switzerland! As you can see, the snow is already melting, even though the temperature is -3°C. When the sun shines, it melts away quickly. We are heading towards the Rhein Valley, and I'd like to share the stunning views with you.

As we drive, we encounter an icy road. The wind has blown snow onto the street, which makes driving a bit tricky. Although the roads have been cleared, nature has its way of covering them again. Fortunately, we are now on a section of road that is free from ice.

I want to show you how we live here in Switzerland. Look over there! On the other side, we have a scenic view that is truly postcard-perfect. It's moments like this that remind me why I'm so in love with Switzerland. It's majestic, beautiful, and breathtaking. I find it challenging to find the right words to describe this beauty!

Oh, we need to be cautious; there’s a dangerous curve ahead. Just look at that view! It's incredibly beautiful, and I can't get enough of it. Having lived in the Black Forest, I've seen the Alps, and I have always wished to live in the Alps one day. Now, I feel like my dream is becoming a reality!

I’m not sure how high we are right now, but I’ll check. Our car doesn’t have an elevation indicator, but I think we're about 700 meters above sea level.

Oops, we need to be careful here; it’s another tricky curve. But just look at that view! I feel incredibly grateful to be experiencing this.
Having spent time in the Black Forest, where I was fortunate to see the Alps, I've always dreamed of living in the Alps. Now, seeing this landscape, I feel that dream manifesting before my eyes. I still don’t know our exact elevation, but I believe we’re around 700 meters above sea level.
